Just jailed a ported 4" today. Went in to ask a question and walked out with DROS paperwork.

Factory Enhanced Trigger, Performance Center sear, more aggressive palm swell stippling, adjustable trigger over travel stop, and of course that sweet porting. I'd get it over the standard CORE every day of the week.

It's kind of personal preference. The 6.5 MOA is SWEEEEET when the dot doesn't "bloom" at all but I feel the 3.5 MOA is the best due to it still being a good size when sharp/crisp and not too large if it blooms.
Also, I ALWAYS recommend people fork over the extra ~$50 for the adjustable brightness one (RM06 is adjustable 3.5 MOA dot). The adjustables can be manually adjusted or switched to automatically adjust. The adjustables can also have the brightness turned ALL the way up for when it's a nightstand gun. If you use the nonadjustable dot with a flashlight brighter than 100-200 lumens, it washes out almost completely. If you have the adjustable one and ramp up the brightness, it works perfectly.

M&P9 PRO & C.O.R.E Information and Question Thread!
I just took out my M&P Pro CORE with the new Apex FSS polymer trigger kit with the competition spring installed. I have to say, maybe I was expecting more, it is not a spectacular improvement. It's just slightly better than stock. Reset is not much better. Maybe I should have also gone for he aluminum trigger too. If I pull slightly off center the trigger snags on something, very annoying...
The M&P Pro has been extremely accurate right out of the box. So far Apex has left me disappointed.

I took out the CORE, with the Apex, to the range two more times since I last posted. So far the feel of that Apex trigger kit doesn't put a smile on my face. I strongly still prefer the feel of the stock triggers on my Walther PPQ and Glock 34.
The CORE is extraordinarily accurate. It probably has more to do with the Trijicon RMR than the trigger or the pistol. My G34 would probably shoot just as well with optics.

Do any of you know if the supressor-height sights on the CORE affect clearance in Kydex holsters like a Raven Concealment Phantom that is fit for a standard full-size M&P9?
Just curious if a CORE-equipped pistol would require an entirely new rig.SCC CCW *326 Days, $1051.29*

I would think it's holster/brand dependent. My comp-tac international accepts both CORE and regular PRO.

Just put money down on a pro. The gun store was out of SSE barrels so I am on a waiting list to dros. My only SSE that I have done. I couldn't pass up missing the chance to get one before the end of the year.Rights modified on a "need" basis, IS the root of tyranny

good 'nuf... i guess i'll find out if i can procure myself one before the year is out. thinking of just going for a 5" CORE model myself, if only to have an easy option to experiment with RMR as an (expensive) side project.

The ported CORE looks cool but I have yet to shoot it. I have enjoyed all my M&P and expect good things out of it for competition. I plan on installing Apex system when I get a chance...and for our advocate members, I have a place in Reno, NV.Attached FilesComment
