It seems as if this is happening to alot of people lately!

Talked to the doj and they pretty much said it always takes the full 30 days! :-(

They lied. My last purchase had no delay even though the previous 3 did.

Think they were saying when theres a delay, it almost always goes the full 30. If theres no delay its just your normal 10.

So i got a letter today from the doj stating the delay with a live scan form. Do i go get a live scan or just wait it out? Thanx

Wait it out - I had the same thing happen in February and about a week after I got the DOJ letter the shop called and told me to come pick it up.

ETA - I only had to wait about 12 days past the normal 10, so about 22 total.

Hmmm, did they state a reason for the delay or just that it was delayed?
I had to do a livescan for record request then petition to have an error corrected.
After that, my firearm was released and I've had no problems since.

I was never given a reason and I didn't do the livescan. My assumption at the time was that I had also signed up for Aegis Academy and they ran a background check too. Figured DOJ wanted to look a little closer but I really have no idea of what it was.

Yeah, it says the department has identified state and/or federal records matching your identifying information or a stolen firearm record that if confirmed would prohibit the purchase.

Not really sure what that means i never had anything to do with a stolen firearm, ever!

Got the same letter today. Went down to the live scan place here in San Marcos and paid $45.00!! They said it would take 4 business days to hear back from the Cal DOJ.

Let me know if that speeds it up at all! I skiped the live scan and am on day 14 after the 10 day period, so 24 total! :-(

My 10 days were up Friday the 13th of June (unlucky date?) So it has just been 13 days since I applied for the rifle lower.

I was just going to check in with you and see how it was going! Sorry to hear that! :-( I finally got my approval today, i think day 27 or so! Unfortunately I can't pick up today!!! But monday finally! Also talked to a super nice lady at the doj and she said this shouldnt happen agin since it was actually approved! :-)
