Sphinx SDP

I have the Sphinx SDP on hand but I can't DROS my P210 Legend (fixed sights) until 9/4 thanks to the 1 in 30 day rule. So the gun is my as in I paid for it an all but it's not my because of the silly CA gun laws

I also have a VP9 and Warren Tactical 9mm 1911 I'll be DROSing with my 10/5 and 11/5 slot so I'll be doing little write ups as I get to take my guns home. Maybe I should sue DOJ for denying me the property I have paid for.....

Ah man, I'm looking forward to your opinions on these. My buddy says the 210 is THE best 9mm ever created. I've never fired nor even held one so I have no perspective.

The build quality on the P210 Legend is amazing. I could not put it down the way it came into my FFL, I just kept on racking the slide and dry firing. It really does feel like a $2,000 gun. I know you are miles and hours away from where I am but if you are ever in South OC send me a message!

After looking at them and reading about them a little, I still think I prefer my P-07 >.>;

Is that because you already own one (or2?) lol.
Although I am curious about the sphinx I think I'm good on my p07..

I am guilty as charged as a CZ fanboy as aside from pistols, I have been pleasantly surprised about the value out of all their firearms, including rifles, shotguns, and rimfires. For a fraction of the competition, I can live with what I got out of the CZ, but I am never too ignorant to appreciate a Porsche Carrera if I drove a Cayman.

Don't believe the P-07 mags work in it because it has a different mag lock location all though I have read reports full size CZ mags do indeed work, but the magazine would stick out a little because the Firearm is a compact.

It does not. The full size CZ 75 bags will fit, lock and feed reliably but it sticks out in the bottom. The P-01 sized magazines will not lock in place.

What would you get?
This is a tough decision as I'm sure they're both awesome but the SP-01 sems harder to come by.

Metal vs polymer and full size vs compact really is the main decision there.

They are different guns, IMHO.

Here's my thinking...
I already have a steel full size and compact so it doesn't really matter.
I don't really consider the SDP a polymer gun even though the bottom half of the frame is polymer.
I would prefer the full size SDP. If that were available, it wouldn't even be a question. But I don't want to wait for it and be left out in the cold.
I guess my real question is...
Is the SP-01 really an $800 gun?
The SDP seems to be a $1000 gun.
Value is important to me.

Example: I would never buy an R33 Skyline for $65k in the States when they're selling in Japan for $20k.

I think I need to pm King Kong with some questions...

The only reason I bring this up is due to the influx of SP-01's I'm seeing for sale on CG.
I really wanted one of these before but I couldn't find one so I got a 75B SA instead. I put it all behind me and moved on with my life but now I see them popping up, it's bringing back old feelings.

If it's on the roster, why do off roster guns seem easier to find than this thing?

But I see what you're saying. I can always get one after January 1st but I will not be able to get the SDP.

Ok, no more back and forth for me. I will be drossing an SDP on Friday!
