I really love the look of the scorpion 226! If that's what I choose I'd really prefer that model over one of the black or stainless ones.

Just a thought I had, and this is probably opening up a whole new can of worms, but what about revolvers for CCW? Serious downside there is that I have absolutely zero experience firing one.

That's the one. I don't know what your schedule is, but I usually go there in the mornings when they open. That's one of the perks of getting out of the Navy and waiting for school to start in June...I go there when it's usually only the retired guys shooting.

Lucky you haha. I'm still in but I'm on the range all this week so my days are likely to be early ones. Do you have a preferred day?

I usually go Monday or Friday at 10am, but tomorrow I have to be in Point Loma, so I'll most likely go on Friday. If you have a specific day that is open for you, I can probably go another day or time.

Friday afternoon should work. You have a CZ 75 correct?

I have the CZ 75BD which is the DA/SA version. What time do you think you can make it? I'll be the black guy with the camo hat on.

Depends on my schedule this week. I'll be on the range so it could be 4:30 or it could be as early as 12:30. I'll have to ask the guys running the course if I can get an estimate. PM me your number and I'll try and get a rough answer out of them tomorrow.

Another vote for the CZ75bd. It's really an amazing gun. I sold mine due to trigger reach issues (small hands and short fingers), but I liked it a lot. Feels great in the hands, points naturally, and is very accurate. If you decide you want one I've had luck finding cz's at iron sights in Oceanside.

Probably not a gun you would want to CCW, but I can bring my S&W Model 27 with me on Friday too. It'll at least allow you to put a few rounds through it.

If you can't find a CZ 75 you might want to take a look at the CZ P-09. Although it would require SSE and getting 10 round mags might be problematic.

I have long hands. For me, the controls of a USP 9 get in the way. I have a high grip with thumbs forward. There's not much of a landing area on the USP for the thumbs.

I find the ergs of the CZ's much better.

Seems like the Sig 226 is probably your best choice unless high bore-axis guns bother you.

P229 comes in scorpion too, feels great in the hand. More CCW than the 226.
