Glock vs H&K

If money is no object, H&K. Money is usually an object though, and some argue that you start to see diminishing returns in "getting what you pay for" past the $600 mark or so.

I carry a GEN4 Glock 22 with 15 and 22rd magazines on duty. I shoot G22 GEN4 better than any HK series pistol.

I can get any HK45 any time I want to , but after shooting one I like Glocks better.

I owned and sold two HK USP .45's , two G21's and one Glock .30

I keep Glocks ONLY in 9mm and .40 caliber for on/off duty and just shooting for fun.

To me , between HK and Glock , I take Glock everytime.

I can afford either one, can get and can carry ANY model I want Glock or HK, but I still take a Glock.

PS. Many officers I work with , who can get , can afford and can carry any pistol they want, are buying Glocks, and price has nothing to do with it .

For me... It depends on the gun. I don't really like the H&K USP series. I really like the P30.

So... I'd prob take something like a G19 / G21 over a H&K USP. But take a P30 / HK45 over the glock.
I don't own any Glocks. But I've shot a bunch of them.

I like both! Glocks for their "go bang everytime" although you still have to take care of it. HKs are more refined to me. A little more picky and thus you have to clean it and keep it maintained but don't get me wrong it still a very robust gun. I like the ergonomics of the HK over Glocks. And HK looks better than a glock in my opinion.

Most quality handguns accomplish this at 7 yards.

I owned a USP40 in '94-'97... I have always admired HK's perfection when it comes to finished product quality. However, that comes with a price. What can an HK do that a Glock can't? (and I don't mean carry cocked and locked, decock etc) I'm not a fan of how the HK plastic trigger flexes before the double action breaks though.

One thing I forgot to say , that BOTH of the USP 45's that I owned were as accurate slowfire at 25 yards as my custom target 1911's. (And thats with duty ammo, not mild target reloads)

I can speak to this one with some level of tangible experience, I had an HK45, HK P30L, HK P30 and a G19 as part of my home defense system, the G19 was the garage gun by then. Shoot the HK45 and all my 9mm together, and after making a very logical analysis of my situation (involving my needs and my wife capabilities) I sold all my HK's and right now looking for a G17 and a G26 to equip my home defense system again. For me, the HK is a better pistol but as Glock Monster wisely said, there is nothing an HK do than a Glock cannot, at half the cost. Viewing them as a tool, Glock makes more sense, as a pice of cool hardware and ergnonomics, HK for sure.....

Yup I like the grip angle allot better , the slide release is better on a hk also the stippling is awesome,alot better then glock in those aspects imo

Good choice for home defense. When im tired the glock is the only thing I would go for in the middle of the night.just because glock has no fancy gadgets just point and shoot. The thing I like about glocks is the simplicity. But if a person would like to take it up a notch as far as Bells and whistles buy a sig or hk

Are you talking about the USP? I prefer a one piece slide release that does not look like it was made by HiPoint. I get the utitarian concept but it is really ugly and detracts from the pistol.

Man bro only if glock made a slide release like that! game over... I like your gun selection glock and Ak can't go wrong ! That's what defends my home . Glock 30 with night sights and a good ol Ak..
