Oh ..... And the wife has her Tarus . 38 wheel gun the same way !!
    With extra speed loaded

I have a Glock 19 with an Insight SSL in a Gunvault micro on my bedstand. Mag in, not chambered and 2 extra mags at the ready.

Loaded wheel gun on my wife's side of the bed and my Beretta .40 cal on my side, my pocket carry P-64 stashed where I can pocket it when I answer the door. My house is laid out with no closets in the master bedroom, it's a suite with an attached bathroom and the his and hers closets are off the bathroom portion of the suite. I keep a 12 ga. shotgun in the closet, 7 in the magazine tube but none in the chamber.

I'm not LE or Military but I'm an engineer with a weapons manufacturer.

The neighborhood is a good one, but Bad Guys do have cars and they do break into homes in more upscale neighborhoods.

I consider this information to be a surprise to anyone dumb enough to try.

One gun per floor of the house and one in the garage.
            All loaded, chambered and cocked.
I have called cops 5 times in 10 years for various emergencies and they have NEVER showed up (one of the negatives of living in LA county)...
Screw them, I'll take care of matters myself inside my property then..

Lately, I've been swapping between a SIG and a Glock. I wonder if the range would allow me to bring the GunVault into the range and practice opening, withdrawing and shooting at the target?
I'm not having a glass of wine, I'm having SIX. It's called a tasting and it's classy.

Glock 23 with 15rd magazine loaded with 14 165gr 1200fps Doubletap Gold Dots(don't want to wear out the spring), no round chambered, and three spare mags. Wife has a Taurus PT140 loaded with 10 of the same ammo, with no round chambered, and one spare mag.

Thinking about getting a Century Arms .223 pistol, but also want an EAA Witness elite 10mm, and a 1911 .45. Maybe one of these birthdays of mine...

Bedside is a 9mm, with a PSD if I needed to take care of really big zombies.

I'll say this: I'm well armed and well prepared.

                          bedside manor

I keep it in the nightstand w a loaded mag in it not chambered and opt not to use a safe because w digital or dial access and being tired and not wanting to flip the light on to alert an intruder of my awareness I feel i can get to it and use if neccesary w out compromising my safety

mag out. Don't know about most folks, but I wake up hazy so it will force me to concentrate rather than just shooting at anything that moves.
