One in every room in the house, we have 2 baths so 2 stainless S&W 60's in them.

My fire extinguisher, flashlight and chambered pistol(in gun vault) are all within arms reach when I'm in bed in my most defensless position.
I was taught years ago that a Pistol should be the goto weapon and chambered. Long guns should not be chambered. Unless of course there is some knowledge of an impending threat, then the shotgun becomes the goto. That's just the rule we had growing up, never seen a need to change it. Consistancy is a big part of safety. What works for me might not for you.

Don't know of a good one.
You should do a little (lot) of training with a flashlight NOT mounted. My personal preference is to not point a weapon at what I'm trying to see, but know my target first. There are a few techiques you should try before going to the expense of mounting a light. JMO

Loaded revolver and high powered flashlight on the nightstand. Loaded but unchambered 12 guage with surefire fore end 2 steps away in wall safe.
I sleep better this way. So does my wife.
