If anyone really wants the answer to this question by all means just pop in uninvited and you won't need the latest copy of Encyclopedia Britannica to get your answer.

Handgun - one in pipe, full mag, decocked.
Shotgun - shells loaded in tube, none in chamber. I'm hoping that the pump action noise will make the son of a ***** run but if not im locked and loaded, wife will have the handgun ill be dialing 911. Since I'm in Kalifornia, shooting the ******* dead will be my last option.

I would rather see my son butchered and wife and daughter raped, that live with the though of harming a person who society so disenfranchised, they felt it necessary to come into my house and harm my family because of all the sins my forefathers committed. Thank you Hillary, Barbara, Dianne, Nancy, and Tom for your exalted rule over my meager life.
This is a disgusting post. The sarcasm is immediately noticed, but I would rather spend the rest of my life in prison knowing my family is safe as opposed to joking about this.

I keep my Springfield Armory XD .45acp in my nightstand with all 10 in the magazine. None in the chamber.
I pulled out the foam from the case it came with from the factory and it sits in that. The drawer is then locked using

A child safety cabinet lock. You can pull the drawer open with enough force but keeps my 2 year old and 6 year old out if I happen to be in a deep sleep.
When I get up for work it then goes into the safe.
The Surefire is also sitting right next to my gun.

That's the best argument against becoming a burglar I've ever seen. Sheesh. Thank goodness I did my homework growing up.
