that there is no external safety,
Correct, and that is a good thing.

    and they are cheap.

I have at least 5k rounds down range between the glock that blew up and the current one that i own. I can shoot the gun accurately, it doesnt change the ergos on it, so its really not an excuse, its a fact that most peoples NPOA on a glock is high.

When was about 15 or 16 my dad had just put night sights on his glock, we went to the range together and we were taking turns shooting. he was shooting and then i heard him say "ahhhh fuuu-----!" and he put the gun down, stepped off the line and his hand was bleeding. then he said "the new sights flew out on to the range!". i guess the ROs saw that something was up in the video camera so they came in and helped clean up. dunno what ammo he was using. i do know that he was reloading on and off, the glock blew up, the 1911s didnt blow up, nor did the 2011.

then my dad bought another glock, and transferred it to me, which is the one that i own now.

i dont see how no external safety is a good thing, when you can have an easy to work external safety.

cheap is good to some i guess, it seems that around here the cheapest thing is always the best.

the glock triggers are absolute crap too. i dont know anyone that would say a 1911 has a worse trigger than a glock.

You obviously come from a different doctrine of shooting, and that's OK. What's NOT OK is for you to crap all over a Glock thread with hyperbole and opinions stated as fact. Thanks.

^^^Another Glock kaboom tale that doesn't hold up. But credit to the poster for being honest about the ammo^^^
As for the lack of an external safety, what about revolvers? Are they all flawed?

Hows the frame have anything to do with it going Kaboom? The bang happens in the top half.

                      PRO:

No manual safety, so no need to worry about flicking it on the OFF position after drawing a GLOCK pistol against a threatening encounter.

                      CON:

No manual safety, so must be holstered in a holster that covers the trigger guard otherwise you might "Glock leg" yourself.

Please share your personal experiences with Glocks kabooming with factory FMJ/JHP ammunition.

Your vague anecdote proves nothing. You provided NO details about ammunition or even what model of Glock it was.

Let me demonstrate what a REAL malfunction report would look like using some of my own personal experience:

Springfield "Loaded" 1911 in .45 ACP (model PX9151LP) experienced consistent feedramp stoppages with 230gr Speer Gold Dot as well as 230gr Remington Golden Saber .45 ACP JHPs. Feedramp stoppages occurred with Wilson ETM magazines, CMC Power magazines, and Springfield Armory OEM magazines. The ammunition would catch on the feedramp and fail to enter the chamber. The pistol in question also experienced "stovepipe" malfunctions with Aguila 230gr .45ACP ball ammunition. The pistol in question was deemed unreliable and was sold.

And even that report doesn't prove anything about the 1911 platform; it just proves that I had a lemon. You posted an anecdote with NO details whatsoever and you expect us to believe that it is conclusive proof that all Glocks kaboom? Get out of here

I don't own one yet, but

                          pros:
10mm polymer pistol x 2 G20&29(only Glocks I would want and thats with ALL the conversion barrels )

                          cons:
Not the best fit for my hands

i gave you the info i had from 10 years ago home slice. it was a glock .22.

the barrel was horizontally split in half, the top of the rail was peeled up like a sardine can, the right side of the frame was cracked, my dads palm was bleeding and he lost his new sights.

will all glocks kaboom? no, but id rather risk a FTE than a KB

Cute, but entirely off-topic. Glock kabooms generally happen due to out-of-spec ammunition (which is often handloaded). I could dredge up pictures of Sigs and 1911s and Berettas and M1As and Remington 700s and AR-15s all blown up by out-of-spec ammunition, but I'm not that petty.
