As I said, that may be due to the fact you're subconsciously fighting recoil and pushing the gun ever so slightly down on those low shots.

I posted this link on another thread. I don't know how you're gripping the gun so this may not help, but it is one of the best youtube videos I've seen on the basic handgun grip:

I can shoot both equally well because shooting any weapon is a matter of Technique and a Mastery of Marksmanship.

I can also shoot my wheel guns, Beretta's, various .22 pistols and other odd handguns I own without any significant differences.

My GLOCK 30 is extremely accurate. On most of my GLOCKS I do install the 4.5 trigger because I like it. Ignore those myths about self defense with a modified weapon. It's either a 'good' shooting or it isn't. This is FUD that never seems to go away on various Gun Websites.

I would advise installing the lighter connector, a .25 cent trigger job and perhaps some better sites that your eyes click with. (?)

Both platforms are excellent in my opinion.

I don't own a Glock, but Ill throw this one out there. I've owned a Beretta 92fs since the early 90's. I have always been a horrible shot with it (at least what I consider horrible).

My friend bought a 1911 and is a horrible shot with it. We swap guns at the range, and its night and day. Hes a much better shot with my beretta, and I'm a much better shot with his 1911.

I think some times its just how the gun fits the person.

I just shot a 1911 and a Glock 17 side by side. The 1911 was by far more accurate, where I could put all my rounds into a jagged hole at 10 yards. The Glock was close, but a little more spread out.

My observations on why is the 1911 has a much better trigger. My Glock even has a lot of trigger work done, but the 1911 is miles ahead. Also, the 1911 is heavier, which mitigates recoil quite a bit. I found myself staying on target much easier with the 1911 than my Glock 17.

The only downside is the pricing on the 1911. The TRP and Gold Cup I shot have a heft price point, where as my Glock is under $700 still.

Due to the GLOCK's lighter weight, you do feel recoil more. Also not to mention smaller grip, etc.
