Valkyrie will still SSE and ship, unless that's changed since the last time I called them.

Of course, they're in CA, so out of state sellers may or may not be cooperative.

A PPT is when both parties go to the FFL, so in what you describe is not a PPT.

FFL fees vary, all the way up to $200 (from a place that does not actually want to do them, but refuse to say that). Typical seems to be $15 to $75.

You might want to post your location so that others might be able to make suggestions.

Then what's it called, out of state transfer? Its not being purchased from a gun store. I'm in riverside area. Thanks.

It is a firearm transfer from a private party, which since it is from out of state, is the same as any firearm transfer. CA now requires that sales tax be collected from out of state purchases, even when it is from a private party (the only exceptions are gifts and C&R handguns if the buyer has a C&R FFL).

I don't know of anyone in Riverside, but perhaps others do.

                        NEED HELP

I understand eveything dealing with SSE and the Glock Gen 4's being off roster. I am wondering if I were to buy a Glock 23 Gen4, have the SSE done and then convert it back to how it should be. Is this weapon safe to use for home defense??

Hey everyone, I have a question. I was recently inside a gun shop in San Diego and noticed a handgun in the case that I was interested in. I started a DROS on said handgun and After researching online I come to find out that the handgun I started a DROS on is not CA compliant. Salesperson never mentioned anything so what what's the deal?

Has nothing to do with SSE. He probably should not have allowed you to begin DROS.
