The general rule is to never put anything on Facebook that you do not want the entire world knowing about you. As a social networking database you have to keep in mind that even if you are using an alias, you are still linked to your friends and ultimately without much work, an outsider can link you to your true identity. You would then have to trust the security of Facebook which has already had problems linked to hackers and this is not counting the fact that law enforcement can access the database both with and without a warrant.
In short if you do not mind people knowing XY or Z about you then feel free to post that information on line but otherwise I would keep it to myself.
