Stop drinking the glock marketing when it comes to that, its simply not true.

GLock and XD, both good guns. One size doesnt fit all. Just deal with it and move a long fanbois.

The best part of this quote is that CZ's U.S. division can't confirm this when I asked them, in fact they wondered themselves

Designs always change. There's a difference when a 1st world technologically advanced country changes something. Glock changing the grip feature is not a biG deal. It's an enhancement on an already proven gun company with a proven manufacturing reputation. Can't say that about a gun plant in Croatia.

With your analogy, would you say the same thing about a gun made in say, Mexico? Somalia? Ethiopia? Those are all "small" countries. I still wouldn't buy from them. I wouldn't buy a Yugo either!!! Would you? Afterall, it's made in a "small" country. Based on your analogy, it's better than Ford, Chevy, or Toyata, right?

I want something reliable and PROVEN in combat for decades... Skrew Croatia. And skrew Springfield for outsourcing to a former socialist country
Nope. Toyota was made in a small country(size, )

Anyways, so your saying that only US made product is the best right? No other country in the world makes ether product then the great US of A... Right? :rollseye:

      These Glock fanbois...:rollseye:... Again.

Proven? I'm sure that's what the 1911 folks said when Glock first came out. Now Glock fans have to do what they can before word gets out that other polymer guns are equal with them..

Ops, sorry I had forgotten.. Glock was made from the gods. My bad.

That's not what he said but maybe understanding what a first and third world country is does not translate well for you.

I highly doubt you asked them, since I pulled this from their website. Ive read it a few other places also, which when I feel like spending more then 2 minutes looking for ill post if you really want. Im sure its an out of date number, with the ammount of departments switching to glocks.

Im doing more searching on it. The more it seems is the agencies have them approved / used, abiet but overall quanity isnt that high per country. Looks like they are still claiming fame on the CZ-52 and 83's.

But,then again, a lot of contries are still using licenced copies of the cz-75 made by local armories.

and im sorry if there staff doesnt even know there own marketing gimicks : )

I'm not a fan personally but I'd like to try a worked over one by Angus, where do you get your info about them being approved? Some dept's will approve almost anything you can qualify with but I don't see them being issued.

Our local PD seems to have quite the varieties of arms. I see 1911s, The Dime a Dozen Glocks, XDs, and M&Ps. Each seems to carry what they personally prefer. One of them had a 1911 in a classic mil style holster. Rather old school. I thought it was pretty nifty. Have yet to see a CZ though.
...but their exists also in the human heart a depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak to attempt to lower the powerful to their own level, and reduces men to prefer equality in slavery to inequality with freedom.

this is a pretty poor analogy. cars and computers upgrade all the time because of upgrades in materials, and performance capabilities. The computer I am using right now is 100 times faster than the one I had 15 years ago, looks better, can perform far more functions, has longer battery life, and holds CD's.

The cars we have now go 200 miles an hour, or more. The first cars went 5mph.

Since the first glock was made, no such change has been seen in the firearms world. No gun is more reliable than a glock. No gun shoots significantly more accurate than a glock, you can't own fully automatic handguns (with some obvious exceptions), and even if you could, you lose accuracy with those.

                            You get the point.
