I'm just waiting to see what they come up with after 2012 passes.

Various groups always think the world is ending..

I remember 1987's prediction with end times guru Hal Lindsey. People actually sold their homes and possessions before his deadline. And this one in 1992.....

I knew a man who bought a house in the high desert and installed generators; food and water stores; weapons. (cheap house only 45K), for the year 2000 thing.....hahaha.

Thru-out known history men have predicted the End Times. This link covers some of those failed predictions:

      Be well.....Bob

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

To all you true believers out there: if you REALLY believe that the world will end in 2012, then forward a signed blank check, postdated to January 1, 2013 to my attention.

This. Shooting skills alone is not enough to prepare you for a post-apocalyptic situation. You would also need survival, medical, and mechanical skills if you plan on surviving to operate.

Maybe ET will come down and show us a light show and they will send us an ambassador to further productive exchange in technology.

              Or

They may find out that we're just not ready to receive any of the higher technology they offer due to our competitive nature and haven't learned to respect each other. They can just tell us to take a flying leap.

Let's not forget that a world wide apocolypse is only one of many scenarios where you would need the skills and supplies being discussed.

Look at New Orleans. There are many scenarios that could drastically increases desperation amongst the masses. Many natural disasters can put us out of power, water, gasn etc for significant periods of time.

I am surprised Calguns hasn't come up with a serious and formal bug-out plan for us all to meet up when the need arises...

I mean for serious all we need is one compound for us all to set up and camp around, set up a bar-b-q and sit back and watch the apocalypse unfold

Pfft. Mayan calendar coming to a stop. Big Deal. That happens to us every December 31st. None of this Mayan long term crap. Every year I have to roll on back to January and fudge up my dates once more. It's a government conspiracy I tell you.

I've been preparing for sometime, the problem is I never feel what I have is adequate enough.

I dont believe that the world is coming to an end. maybe a very slight change of the poles or my dog might fart. but thats about it. pole reversals have been proven and it can hapen every few million years, but I dont think anything like that would be a reality in any of our lifetimes let alone the human race. but if your asking what do i have ready if SHTF, thats easy. I have a OD green molular vest that I have mounted my holster, and about 7 mag pouches with loaded mags in them. I have 2 flashlights and 3 changes of batteries, also I have a survival pouch attatched that comes with several tools or things I would ever need to survive. I like having the vest just because its one things instead of carrying bags or back packs. everything is acessable and I know where its at when I need it. if I learned anything while I was in the army, its that it pays off to be ready even when you think you wont need something.

✟ In the beginning was the 1911, and the 1911 was THE pistol, and it was good. And behold the Lord said, "Thou shalt not muck with my disciple John's design for it is good and it workith. For John made the 1911, and lo all of his weapons, from the designs which I, the Lord, gave him upon the mountain."✟

You guys are crazy. It's like those people who always pick the underdog in fights/sports just so they can say "I told you so" if it unfolds the way they say, and take minimal backlash if nothing happens. All these "end of the world"/SHTF/zombies/"whatever trendy disaster scenario" things are about as logical as our gun laws. The next time you complain about one of those, ask yourself if you believe in this kind of crap.

                              AB962 trumps EOTWAWKI

I'm more worried about Feb, 2011 and if AB962 has been demolished by then...
