Newbie here. There is a local gun store by me showing a vp9-b for sale on their website. I just found out today from this group that the vp9 was recently added to CA roster. Does this mean this model they have in stock is not CA compliant/a firearm I can't purchase unless I am law enforcement?

There are several posts in this thread showing which models were added and you can clearly see the VP9B is not one of the models. So no, the VP9B is not on the roster. You have tobe exempt to get one.

I wish they would add the B as well. I dont hate the paddle release but I do prefer the button release like on the PPQ M2.

Meh, the VP9 is a great pistol, but I sold all mine because of the flex/thin plastic in the grips.

Let me know when Walther decides to offer us the PDP compact pro.

Soon to be known as the P2000 Classic, since there is now no reason to make P2000 anymore. I don't see them outside of California. Who would buy one with P30 and VPs available. Most likely P2000 will cease production and be replaced with VP9/P30 production.

The P2000 still remains relevant as it is smaller than the P30 and larger than the P30SK. The same applies vs the VP9 and VP9SK.

The HK P2000 is one of the last quality pistols that made it onto the roster. (CA)VP9 is a hard pass with the hideous CA specific features CLI & MSD.
