Sorry guys. The roll eyes emoji doesn?t work right now. I was being facetious.

Just pointing out they?re trying to dump them high before they start selling. Same happened when the P320 and P365 were added on.

I don?t think their out of touch with reality; just whatever the market will bear, I guess

Awesome. I own 4 VP9's. An SK, a regular, an extended, and a custom regular with optic. Looks like I'll be adding a VP9SK OR.

      Great guns.

From where is the projected/estimated release/ship date of these HKs coming? Does anyone have a source besides the indication of Wilde Built Tactical on its pre-order page.

From a sales/manufacturing perspective, it is frustrating that HK already produced "production models" (i.e. not prototypes, since the exemplars they submitted must be exact, in most ways, to the model offered for sale) and yet it is going to take them 5 months to begin delivering these things? Strike while the iron is hot; you never know what will happen to the roster (good and bad) and what your competitors might bring to market before you.

Another question: the roster doesn't list specific SKUs or model numbers besides the broad product line (VP9/VP9SK, etc.) Obviously these models will be CA-specific. Is the DOJ known to amend/add a SKU to an entry after it has already been added to the roster (e.g. waiting for HK to furnish a specific model name/number)?

The statute never provided for removal due to addition of revolvers. It was always semi-autos, but did not limit it to centerfire guns so .22 caliber (and any other rimfire) was included.

As noted, the OR is optics ready. The *asterisk designates the addition as being "provisional". I've not seen a definition of what "provisional" means, but I suspect it means "until we get a final ruling on this issue". If so, and the state prevails at the SCOTUS level, they will immediately drop the provisional models.

It's stated in the "important Information" section on the page.

"An asterisk (*) next to the model name below indicates that the handgun was added pursuant to the court's order in Boland v. Bonta. C.D. Cal. Case No. 8:22-cv-1421-CJC-ADS [Dkts. 60, 61]; 9th Circuit Case No. 23-55276 [Dkt. 7]."

But I think you're right. If the State prevails, they drop the models. If the people prevail, they drop the asterisk.

Yup; I saw that. But it does not tell us what that means. The Court Order in Boland did not direct the State to designate anything "provisional". That is why, if Boland fails, I expect DOJ to dump the "provisionals".

As used in this part, "unsafe handgun" means any pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person, for which any of the following is true:

                      (a) For a revolver:

                      (1) It does not have a safety device that, either automatically in the case of a double-action firing mechanism, or by manual operation in the case of a single-action firing mechanism, causes the hammer to retract to a point where the firing pin does not rest upon the primer of the cartridge.

                      (2) It does not meet the firing requirement for handguns.

                      (3) It does not meet the drop safety requirement for handguns.

                      (b) For a pistol:

                      (1) It does not have a positive manually operated safety device, as determined by standards relating to imported guns promulgated by the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

                      (2) It does not meet the firing requirement for handguns.

                      (3) It does not meet the drop safety requirement for handguns.

                      (4) Commencing July 1, 2022, for all centerfire semiautomatic pistols that are not already listed on the roster pursuant to Section 32015, it does not have a chamber load indicator.

                      (5) Commencing July 1, 2022, for all centerfire or rimfire semiautomatic pistols that are not already listed on the roster pursuant to Section 32015, it does not have a magazine disconnect mechanism if it has a detachable magazine.

                      (7) The Department of Justice shall, for each semiautomatic pistol newly added to the roster pursuant to Section 32015, remove from the roster exactly three semiautomatic pistols lacking one or more of the applicable features described in paragraphs (4), (5), and (6) of subdivision (b) and added to the roster before July 1, 2022. Notwithstanding those paragraphs, each semiautomatic pistol removed from the roster pursuant to this subdivision shall be considered an unsafe handgun. The Attorney General shall remove semiautomatic pistols from the roster pursuant to this subdivision in reverse order of their dates of addition to the roster, beginning with the semiautomatic pistol added to the roster on the earliest date and continuing until each semiautomatic pistol on the roster includes each of the applicable features described in those paragraphs.

                      (Amended by Stats. 2020, Ch. 292, Sec. 2. (AB 2847) Effective January 1, 2021.)
                      It was amended.
The microstamping is not required since 1/1/2024 so the * should no longer be added.

Would not be surprised. HK's are "overpriced" to begin with, they aren't offering these to CA consumers out of charity. I suspect they'll have to keep the magazine rebate deal going to entice people to buy these. That's the only way I'm buying one, if I can get 4 free mags. It's going to be even more expensive when the extra 11% gun tax starts in July.

Where in the statute you quoted does it state they will use an * for anything?

In the current listing, it states the * was added pursuant to the Court Order in Boland. Where in that Order does it state the * is to be used to do anything or allow the designation of anything as "provisional", nevermind explain what "provisional" means?

LGS is advertising pre-order for HKs with a $750 downpayment.

                              No final price listed.

I've received numerous inquiries about taking pre-orders but unfortunately, we are not currently accepting any orders for the H&K pistol as we have not received pricing information from H&K. H7K hasn't started taking purchase orders for them just yet.
