Ah, thank you for reminding us. Bad things don't happen at the places where we feel safe. Bad things only happen in "tough" places.

In California given the safe handgun roster, magazine restrictions and difficulty obtaining a CCW, anyone with a CCW a Glock 19 and a good supply of greater than 10 round mags is far from obsolete but more the pinnacle EDC.

So you think $100 per transfer is reasonable? I don't. If a seller doesn't make $100 transfer fee selling a gun they paid to have imported into the state, why should they make $100 on a gun that YOU PAID the shipping and CC fees to have transferred into the state? I THINK, the rationale of charging $100 per transfer was to allow a shop to make up money for lost sales. In other words, they charged higher fees to keep out of state sellers from underbidding them. That works for me on an economic level when the shop has an identical gun to sell you. But, if they can't get the gun in the first place, the rationale fails, and its nothing more than gouging their customers. But, it always comes home to roost eventually.

I agree. You need to find a different FFL for your Title 1 guns and find a Silencershop.com member for your Title 2 stuff. Or, you could get your own FFL and SOT.

I would still trust a gen 3 glock 19 as my ccw, tried and true reliability. I'd upgrade the sights to tritium and add front slide serrations. Stock trigger is fine for ccw distances.

Glocks are not obsolete because there are still poor people with zero taste!

In handgun marksmanship, the hardware is all there is that matters.

Needless to say the trigger control set the biggest difference between an experienced shooter who's fed with 10s of thousands rounds plus many times more dry fires, from a noob shooter who scratches his head to figure what went wrong for not hit the target or a group allover on the map.

Evidently the competition shooters overwhelmed to fix their trigger for a light trigger, wonder why?

For the majority HD/carry shooter with their range toys, the stock trigger isn't something they're willing to tinker around. The next come in for better trigger control is the gripping. This is where the hardware, or the grip shape, thickness, ergonomics etc. come in play.

Market has already answered the question when sig p365/XL dominated the market as the best seller.

The mistake Glock made as this guy in youtube explained is that G43/48 were supposed to be Glock's redesign to improve the gripping but at a price with less ammo capacity. I think he's right just didn't cover the context very well.

Whoever thinks the G19 is HUGE should take a look at a G26... which could hold 18 or 34 rounds if you want that ooofy drop-mag look like the P365.

Highlighting the all - I just hear are more excuses for blaming the gun, er, blaming the arrow rather than the person in the mirror.

Glock 19 is not obsolete in ANY way in the eyes of people who ACTUALLY CARRY handguns for duty or protection.

Politely disagree. For most people's general use a G19 is a do it all pistol (see how well Kyle Defoor shoots a stock G19). At a competition level sure every tiny benefit matters but even then shooter mattera way more than gun.

Moving to Texas I imagine I would have wanted to ccw a bunch of interesting guns. Instead I carry either G48 or G19 and am thinking about going back to G19 full time.

My wife carries a P364XL and that is a great gun too
