    Everyone spouting FUD should grow a spine.

    If you or anyone you know has a “large-capacity” magazine seized by law enforcement on the basis that it is a nuisance under Section 32390, we urge you to contact CRPA attorneys immediately by sending an email to helpdesk@michellawyers.com or by calling (562) 216-4444
    If you happen to be the unlucky test case, Mitchel & Associates will take the case. So far every single case of possession has been dropped and resulted in the return of the magazines. Even when other crimes were involved. Also nobody has had mags taken under the (blatantly unconstitutional) nuisance clause.

        Rapid fire is not allowed in ranges and paper targets don't shoot back. Just use the castrated ones for now.
        If there's a chance we could lose our land and status by rebelling against the King, why risk it...?

        Our Founding Fathers would be ashamed of us.

                    Every single thing you have at any time, including cash, clothing, shoes, wallets, keys, house, cars, literally anything can be taken from you by the police at any time, for no reason at all. This is not new or unique to high capacity magazines. Its civil forfeiture.

                    Shoot them if you got them. They're legal. Yes, you're always at risk of having them illegally and unconstitutionally taken from you, just like everything else. Its just a risk you take leaving your house at any time for any reason.

                        Not to totally sidestep the OP's question, but I don't even see a point to shooting groups of more than 10 rounds at a time, so why bother even if you have the capacity? In rifles I shoot groups of no more than 5 rounds. In pistols 7 - 10 rounds depending on what the mag holds.

                        Shooting groups followed by statistical analysis.

                        Sometimes I just shoot "groups" of 2, put the weapon down to cause a reset in hold, then move to another 1" target, since the 1st 2 rounds are the most important and may be the only ones that you get to fire, weather it be hunting or SD.

                            If you "train" yourself to only fire two rounds, that is more than likely what you will do if you ever really need it. Probably why you rarely hear of people who run defensive training courses say fire two rounds, and assess. It's usually fire until the threat is stopped.

                            Hunting is an entirely different type of shooting skill. Comparing defensive shooting and hunting may not be a real accurate, or fair comparison.

                              Since I have to supply ammo to the new shooters I take out, I give them only one 10 rounders to slow my ammo consumption. They are perfectly happy.

                                So, the conditioning worked.

                                The state says LCMs are not common in CA because...
                                ...no one has purchased them in CA for over 20 years...
                                ...because 20 years ago a law was passed outlawing purchase.

                                The Court took exception to that tautology.

                                ///////

                                Now, you exemplify it’s application:

                                You don’t need more than ten rounds because...
                                ...the most you shoot is 10 rounds because...
                                ...the only magazine you are allowed to own or use only holds ten rounds.

                                {Helpful Hint: Load your 10-round mags to 7. That will standardize your load out and simplify your statement to “In pistols 7 rounds.”}

                                If, over the past 20 years, you were allowed to own and freely use a 17-round (or greater) mag, your statement would read differently.

                                Another Helpful Hint: You can do that regardless of the size of the magazine. But, you can do it more times before reloading.

                                Now, as others have noted, what’s your plan for home defense?

                                Fire 2, set the gun down, perform a statistical analysis, determine next action?

                                You will die within your OODA loop.
