New Timney Glock trigger

I just got mine. This is pretty light.

I like the break, but 3 pounds is too light for holster carry. I my t-shirt get caught up on a reholster, it doesnt take much for this to fire.

Any solutions to increase the trigger pull? I'd like a crisp 4.5 pound.

Heavier connector or heavier trigger return spring (The L-shaped torsion spring that goes on the trigger pivot pin).

Update, I did a bunch of dry firing.

One can get used to it. The wall is hardly there though. A big change from the og Glock break.

I like where my set up has settled, the + connector and the heavier trigger spring from the McMaster part number listed. Its very very crisp and 4#. The lighter connector will offer a less perceived wall and increased mush. If you want more wall and crisper then go heavier. Give the dot and the + connectors a try.

My third Timney trigger arrived today. Ordered it on March 15th. Unlike the first two, this kit has two trigger return springs, one for use with stock glock parts and one for use with after market connectors. Also included is a new c-washer that goes under the button head screw in the sear assembly. Will install tomorrow. I'm hoping the upgrades will be available for my other two kits.

Mine must've been a first gen because it didn't have any extra springs for aftermarket connectors.

However, I wouldn't change a thing. I simply swapped out my DK Trigger for the Timney, and it works incredibly well with my other DK components. I couldn't ask for more.

I think many overlook the fact the engineering of this trigger allows for OEM and even heavier striker springs to be used and still achieve a sub 3lb trigger pull.

So in the past, those pushing the limits of the Glock ignition design they compromised reliability with increased chances for failure to ignite light strikes. This could be countered by finding match ammo with thin cup primers or reloading with thin cup primers like Match Grade Federal.

Now I can use crap primers from Wolf and run a 6 lb striker spring, and still yield a sub 3lb trigger pull.

The fact that it's only $150 amazes me. Once they get the trigger shoe figured out with over travel and pre travel adjustments (this can be improved, but one has to trim the trigger safety themselves) this will be by far the best competition trigger out there.

I suppose one can argue up and down the feel, break, reset, bla bla, bla of different aftermarket triggers, but what can't be argued is ignition reliability with an OEM striker spring or heavier.

Well, if they improve the shoe a little and make over travel and preset easier and then supply say three L springs for varying degrees of trigger weight then that's that, nothing even compares.

This should be a $200+ trigger. Easy............

Everything else is priced at $150, then Timney comes along and is easily tuneable for desired pull weight simply by changing the L spring (which many have found out can commonly be bought). And a simple tweak of the trigger shoe would allow for better trigger settings, then I don't know what else is left to improve this thing. I'll repeat it again, ignition reliability is not compromised.

Add that, and this should be the most expensive trigger out there.

Other triggers you have to futz around with multiple springs, and connectors, and compromise ignition and for the same $150. Yes, they do have better shoe adjustments, but I'll give that up for a Timney.

Do you guys think this would work in a Glock 44 (22LR)? I believe the internals are mostly the same as its 9mm counterpart.

I got mine a few days ago and installed it, then took it to the range to test fire. Excuse my stream of consciousness (and lack of sleep).

The install was simple. I installed the regular spring and set aside the red tinted one. My first impression dry firing was whoa... Doing dry fire wall drills, it was perfect. With a stocks trigger, sometimes you can get a little bounce or jarring of the sight picture as the striker impacts. Not so with this trigger for me. So dry firing was nice. I did try out my Dryfire magazine...and the trigger was heavy. I wonder if I just have to adjust the dryfire mag; it would be sweet to use this trigger with a dryfire mag and just do tons of dry firing. I wonder if using this trigger with the dryfire mag is ok...or am I hurting something or adding excessive wear and tear to the trigger.

Taking it to the range I was kind of shocked. My first trigger pull was a double! More training/practice required to learn this trigger and fire with resetting during recoil-getting to the wall, you know what I mean.

This is where the rubber hits the road for me. Can I shoot more accurately with this trigger? I feel like yes. The trigger is so unlike any of the other glock triggers I have (I have couple of rifles with sweet triggers too). Its a completely different gun. Almost scary light. I have some sweet triggers on my 1911s, so I know what I like. Firing for groups, yes, this trigger is great for me. Would I hand my gun to a new shooter or an infrequent or chairborne shooter (lol) to try out...prob not..or at least not without serious warning and close monitoring....letting them try the gun coming out of the holster? Hell no. And someone with poor trigger discipline going back into the holster...I'm backing way way up.

Does this bring the glock into solid 1911 trigger territory? ....lol, come on man...hell no! But does it get the glock into a better place...sure, for me, doing slow fire for groups, definitely yes! How about Milspec Mojo territory? who knows, especially during Covidian Ammo times lol. He can run a stock trigger so that it sounds like full auto.

I agree with Snoopy47, they could have charged more for such a revolutionary trigger. I can't wait to practice more. In my first sesh I put down two boxes...gulp.

My ghetto wheeler gauge says its a hair over 2lbs on the trigger pull.

I guess the price of ammo really makes this trigger upgrade seem like peanuts. Even more so when you realize how fast the ammo is going downrange

I called Timney today and they are sending me the C-washer and the red spring, it was a quick and easy call.
