is there an AB 2847 fall-off list?

We know California AB 2847 is pretty much passed and signed.. Which means 3 pistols will be removed for every 1 pistol added to the roster. My question is this: Is there a way to find out or tell which guns will fall off the roster first? Or in what order will they be removed? Basically which pistol should Californians panic buy first? At the very least, do we have a list of the pistols that will be on the chopping block? Thanks

Most desirable to least desirable. If Glock, Sig, or CZ is the best seller expect it to be chopped first.
Expect 22 Caliber Revolver to be last.

I read somewhere, whether it's true or not (I don't know), that the semi-automatic handguns that were put on the list (older) would be the first to go.

Again, I'm not sure if that's true or not. My understanding is every year all handguns must be renewed to be on the list, so not sure how that argument holds up.

I tried looking for one and failed. Should be easy to get with a California public records act request.

Request "any and all documents that indicate the respective dates each and every firearm on the Roster of Certified Handguns was first added to said Roster. If a consolidated document or list exists showing the date of first addition to the Roster of each firearm, such list would be sufficient to fulfill this request."
In case it wasn't obvious, nothing I write here should be interpreted as legal advice.

It’s the 3 oldest listings for a semi auto pistol

I’ve been trying to find a roster list that’s by date

Scary thing is, a Bloomberg could buy a manufacturer and crank enough junk guns(say 2 shot fixed magazine .22 short or .25acp) that met the criteria and he would only need 248 models to completely dominate the roster.

Sounds like a lot, but say 5 barrel lengths, 2-6 round magazine, 5 junk calibers, 5 grip types and that’s 625 models that could be put on

The bigger question is does anyone really believe a new gun would ever meet the requirements (re microstamping) to actually be ADDED to the roster?

It could be done with the new law since it’s only one point on the casing, not 2, so the firing pin alone would work, the rest of the stuff is already pretty common

I think this law may pose due process and equal protection problems the State has not considered. I expect a serious legal challenge to this law by the manufacturer of the first “safe guns” to be removed from the list.

                  Right -
                  (7) The Department of Justice shall, for each semiautomatic pistol newly added to the roster pursuant to Section 32015, remove from the roster exactly three semiautomatic pistols lacking one or more of the applicable features described in paragraphs (4), (5), and (6) of subdivision (b) and added to the roster before July 1, 2022.

Notwithstanding those paragraphs, each semiautomatic pistol removed from the roster pursuant to this subdivision shall be considered an unsafe handgun.

The Attorney General shall remove semiautomatic pistols from the roster pursuant to this subdivision in reverse order of their dates of addition to the roster, beginning with the semiautomatic pistol added to the roster on the earliest date and continuing until each semiautomatic pistol on the roster includes each of the applicable features described in those paragraphs.
Used to be possible to get a .pdf of the whole Roster, with 'add date' specified. I'm sure DOJ can get that, but I no longer see a link for us public swine.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

That's what the public records act is for

I'm guessing people believe that manufactures will actually implement Microstamping?

                      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Our politicians don't listen to us, maybe gun manufacturers will - we need to ensure they know that producing a microstamping gun will result in a boycott from buyers and blackballing from CA dealers and FFL's of EVERY GUN they make.

No, it won't. Micro-stamped p365s and 5th gen glocks will sell out immediately upon arriving on shelves. Not a value judgment, but simply a prediction.

In addition to all the sh**** features like LCI and mag-disconnect? Hard pass for some of us.

Assuming, Glock and Sig give in to making such designs.

Only helps if the document already exists; even though the list could probably be generated in 30 seconds by running an existing query-script, PRAR can't make them run the query.

But they might provide the info if one simply asks. Might not, too.
