Well, the people I bought it from did. And yes, I sometimes zip lock & snap lid my reloads. Long term they then go in an ammo can.

Yep I use zip locks to break down bulk ammo to 100 round small bags to grab and go to the range.

Frog Lube is great for the outside of your guns, definitely pulls rust. Take a patch and some frog lube to your mags ( No - not Glock mags)and you'll see how much surface rust it takes off. I don't let it anywhere near the internals of my guns. Also works well on tools. Don't throw it away!!!

I dont think its frog lube or ammo, but like Ive seen thousand times, the over-oiling and over-greasing of guns in general. Seriously, why do you....ive seen guns so greased up and oiled up that now nothing can move at all! The only reason the oil isnt flat dripping out of the guns is because grease dams are blocking the way! The OP said ALL his guns suffered misfires and nonfires. All. Whats in common? Frog lube or no frog lube, i know whats in common. Im going to get over to that fellows house so that I can tip those guns one way or the other and call out, Thar she blows! when the oil wells he's got stored inside those guns come gushing out of the muzzles! Thar she blows! Texas gold! We're in the money!! Honey our ship came in!!

WD-40 on a gun isn't terrible. WD-40 on AMMO is bad.

I've written up my ongoing adventures as I learn to hunt.

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.

I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.

I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.

Inside each of those locked ammo cans are more locked containers because... reasons.

A few years back, I had a giant pile of Turkish 8mm from the 1950's. It looked like it had been stored outside for the last 60 years. It was unusual to get a failure to fire. I did not use Froglube on any of my 8mm rifles.
Check back later for a witty comment.

Not to thread-jack, but WD-40 is a water displacement product. It's a surfactant and not an oil. It's slippery for the same reason soap is, not because it is a lubricant. Would you lubricate your gun with dawn dish soap?

OP, I think two things are clear...

#1 Your ammo storage is fine, but could be improved with ammo-cans and docent packs.
#2 Degrease your guns throughly and use a traditional gun oil or grease. Keep the frog-lube for the outside if you want.

                          Because you can eat it

But seriously... Some people are overly concerned about inhaling aerosolized petroleum products, which are carcinogenic.
Of course, the smoke from the powder combustion and lead exposure is likely many times greater risk of any future issues.
