Single-Stack 9mm Recommendations?

G43. Shield without work is trash and that work makes it dubious for carry in caSo, here's my admission: I have small-size Trump hands. As a result, big 'ol double-stack handguns are just too big for me to hold comfortably. So far, I have a Bersa Firestorm and a Ruger LCR in .357 (the issue isn't hand strength, but hand size), and both fit me perfectly. But if I wanted a single-stack 9mm, what would be my on-roster options? I know the Glock 43 is out of the running. What about the Ruger LC9? Some Google-fu just confuses me - like it was on, then off, then on again - so what's the story on that? There seems to be a CA-compliant version of the M&P Shield; is that a decent option? What others are out there that are any good? Thanks, everyone.NRA Lifetime Member

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

Packy14,
I do believe the OP received my message on the issue in a positive or neutral light. As for your question:
It wasn't my suggestion or insinuation that the Industry make all pistols chambered in 45acp. But if they did without my consult then fine by me, as long the pistol is U.S. Made all steel single stack 5 inch 1911.
A positive "Can-Do" attitude goes a long way toward pistol shooting efficiency and with efficiency usually comes satisfaction. Proficiency on the range means keeping or continuing the option of practicing their LE jobs; not to mention the SD & constructive recreational aspect for all other citizens willing and in good standing.
If my approach was a bit harsh than sure, I apologize if I offended. Relax.Last edited by hambam105; 10-27-2017, 12:54 PM.Comment

Surprised that the Kahr K9 Elite hasn’t been mentioned yet. The first compact all steel single stack 9 that began a new precedent for compact and sub compact pistols to come. Excellent grips, nice manageable heft therefore minimal recoil. Smaller than all of the Sigs mentioned save the P938 and on roster.NRA memberComment

Yep, there it is . . .Haven't seen this suggested so I'll toss it out:
S&W 3913 or 3914. These are 3rd generation Smiths, all-metal, with frame-mounted safety/decocker levers, so just like a Beretta 92 or OPs' Firestorm. Single-stack, good solid firearms. They haven't been made for a while but were on-roster for a long while after being made - not sure about now. And I've heard that they're values are going up. There are a number of variants of these, as well, with some other numbers.
3913, you can't beat it. JMHO

I have a 3rd Gen S&W CS9 and that gun is an excellent choice if you can find one. Thin profile, perfect placed safety/decocker, smoothest double action trigger ive felt and super short trigger reset. Plus its just a very reliable platform.Comment
