How about the original single stack 9mm? C&R and exempt from the roster. One of the best feeling and pointing handgun grips of all time.
Revolvers are not pistols
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel

Hold on here.
OP mentioned 'small hands' and then says oh no, I have plenty of strength. Yeah right.
I've seen plenty of shooters with small hands and if strength isn't an issue either is hand size. The proper attitude and focus connected to a pair of strong hands on any adult that I seen handles 1911s, 92s and BHPs just fine.
I dare you to take a elder Veteran with arthritic hands to the pistol range, or a younger person who hasn't been shooting pistols in decades after loosing a few fingers in some kind of tragedy. What ever they were shooting before they are shooting now without complaint I assure you.
Oh, you need thin grips, oh you need some Yahoo to anoint your pistol, you need, you need you need. Try watching some truly crippled shooter on the range making do with what they have and do them the honor of being on the range with them wearing your own bucked pair of Big Boy trousers properly.Comment

Fair question. I own both and had them at the range this morning. For me, yes, the 239 is worth twice the Shield. If you are looking for something really light that you can carry all day, your answer might be different. So it gets back to what you want it for.
You should really try them both and decide for yourself.Pooty Poot, you sure screwed the pooch this time! - Ghost of Roza Shanina, WWII Soviet SniperComment

How about:
- HK P7 Series
- CZ75 (Doublestack but very slim grip. Also good for small hands like mine)
- Beretta Cheetah (either in .32 ACP or .380 ACP)
- Colt Commander in 9mm
- Walther CCP
- Walther PPS (super small)
- Colt MK IV Series 70 or Series 80 in 9mm
There are tons of good models out there, but the more compact they get the more recoil will kick

It is, in my opinion, if you like DA/SA. The trigger is miles better.
It’s bigger but much more comfortable to shoot while also being slim enough to carry. It’s a fantastic balance. It probably should be selling for $200 cheaper but it’s still worth that price.Comment

The young man with brown and purple shirt, you have a question?
A Sergeant Stedenko Reference.
Explain? No problem.
When a shooter self-identifies with, "...small hands....", I take them at their word. Browning High Power pistols otherwise known as a P-35, is not a pistol suitable for someone with small hands. Along with the P-35, a 1911 and a Beretta 92 are also unsuitable. It has been that way for decades as evidenced by hundreds of LEOs both State and Federal who made the claim of said pistols being too large to handle proficiently.
It has been my experience that when shooters mention 'small hands' that an issue also exists of not having sufficient hand strength. When the OP replied back to my hand strength related post he claimed he had an ample amount of strength to handle whatever pistol he was having issues with.
I replied back to the OP with my 1st hand experience assisting other shooters who are, or were then, besieged with missing fingers or ill health who, if they could, stepped forward and shot whatever pistol they had at their disposal without complaint or excuse.
The rest of the problem will have to be addressed in alphabetical order.Last edited by hambam105; 10-24-2017, 11:03 PM.Comment
