Same conclusion, small hands can shot big grip well (92FS), pistol grip is not just size matching.

Be aware that the new P225A1 is not the same as the old P225/P6. P225A1 is based on the P239. Their parts and magazines are not interchangeable.

      P225/P6 has the best ergo for small/medium hands. I don't have a P239 because I can't stand the grip.

      I have never tried P225A1.

ok then, my recommendation is either a Shield or a Kahr CW9. Don't forget you can also negotiate a price on an off roster gun. Worse the seller can say is no.

Shield or KAHR PM-9 depending on hand size and your personal preference.

Glock 43 is my recommendation. Shield would be my second.

OP, you still haven't told us the intended use, or anything about the size gun you are looking for other than single stack.

If you are looking for something really small and concealable, the Shield is hard to beat, on roster and very affordable.

If you are OK going up a notch in size and weight while keeping a pretty slim grip, the Sig P239 is an all round awesome gun. With the rubber Hogue grips it feels great and it seems to fit a lot of different hands. Most importantly, it shoots like a full size, accurate and very light recoil so its a lot more fun to shoot at the range for high round counts.

S&W Shield is an excellent pistol at a good price.
Anything OFF Roster, you will pay way to much for.

G43's show up all of the time in the marketplace.

While I own/carry a .45 shield, the G43 is my go to carry...

Barring a G43, a shield would be my recommendation as well.

Well, guys, I'm really leaning toward the Shield now. I regularly browse both Calguns and 4chan's /k/ board, and both give it a big thumbs up. I just wish our options weren't so limited, but that's California life for you.

Find a Browning Hi-Power, it's a double stack but very slim about the same grip as a 1911.

M11A1 is pretty much a P228. It is not a double stack version of P225. P228 is a compact version of P226.

                              P225 is a compact version of P220.

You will have to move to a free state to get a threaded barrel. P228 there will be much more reasonably priced as well.

I'm still looking for my P220 in 9mm.

What part of 'Small Hands' don't yall get? BHP? 92s?

If your ego or someone else tells you that it has to be a 9mm that is one thing. But I guarantee the OP that 9mm doesn't make concessions for small handed operators. These modern 9mms are smaller and they are slimmer, but they do still recoil a lot for some people.

Look to the original pre 1970s Walther PP and PPk in 380acp or 32acp. Beretta Model number 1934 and 1935 are also winners but they do have the European magazine release button. The SS American made Walthers or copy of, bite.

Buy the original, pay the extra bucks and be happy. Go shoot these fantastically designed pistols that Kahr and Smith & Weasal have been trying to duplicate for decades with pathetic results.
