All the XDs that I own and like are unfortunately off-roster.

Just got a G34 and loving it, thinking of retiring my G19gen2 to the safe and getting a easily replaceable G19gen3 as my new travel gun.

    So my vote is GLOCK

It makes no difference who else uses what. Rob Leatham can shoot any gun Glock or Springfield. Same goes for others. You need to choose what feels good for you. I said earlier that glock is my choice, but you should compare a g17 to a 5 inch tactical and see which one feels better for you.

If both guns work well in your hands and you have to be careful of your budget, I'd say go with the XD. The four extra magazines are another $80 you'd have to spend on Glock magazines (on sale).

Besides, at some point you'll want to buy another gun anyways. Buy the gun on sale and save for the Glock.

This is good advice. I knew I'd want to get a P226, SP01, and an XD.. since XD had the sale i bought this one first and ill buy the others later!

            Anyone see any OD 36's?
The Gun Range on Watt Ave in North Highlands has g34, 26 and g17 in OD.

XD is the way to go!
Great firearm at a good price.
              Easy choice!

What do you guys think, should I join the Glock family? Is it worth the extra $40 and -4 magazines and the other bonus?
                I got a G19 for Fathers Day 2015. I like it.

I put a deposit on a G17 OD at Turners for Fathers Day 2017. I already know I will love it.

A couple of my most recent handguns were the XD9 and the G19 (in that order), both of which I wanted but they weren't high on my list. I wanted an HS2000 back when I hated Glocks with ignorant bliss. The G19 was a size model I thought was best skipped.

After finally getting them and shooting for a while, the XD I could take it or leave it (I don't HATE it). The G19 was a big surprise how much I love it. YMMV.

There are 14 and 12 year old girls (Williams sisters) in St. George, UT that are doing real well with XDs. Leatham shoots XDs as well. Of course, they all get paid by Springfield.

Not sure if anybody mentioned this yet, not gonna read through 3 pages of usual glock flamewar.

I have no problem hitting with a 3" barrel. CZ Rami, M&P Shield, Ruger LCP.
