Conflicting word on this, but I'm going to volreg a few more I built this week just in case they do process them after the July 1st deadline (and take the original submission timestamp instead).

Which actually makes sense, didn't a judge order the extension to July because it was not something people could comply with?

Keeping my fingers crossed. I hear there's a backlog so that means people who volreg a couple months ago yet to get approval might get screwed.

Just for reference, when the SSE 2.0 (and the "grey area" of converting from single shot AR pistol to semiauto) go into affect?

If it was done under SSE (before 01-01-2015), it is fine.
If it was done under SSE2 (from 01-01-2015 to 12-31-2016), kinda gray depending on who you talk to.

The change happened when new Penal Codes went into effect on 01-01-2017.

It's murky and needs clarification. Wait and see, while lawyers do battle.

So after 12-31-16, any homebuilt handgun/pistol would need to stay in single shot configuration and not converted into semiauto?

Is this the safe bet general consensus?
