A bit off topic, but I want to "acquire" a standard capacity magazine just because it's a PITA to get the 10th round in. I'd rather load 10 rounds into a standard capacity 13 round magazine for my Glock 21.

While, like anyone here, I think all the capacity laws are really dumb*, the couple places that have the loading restrictions (e.g. it's allowed to be able to hold ten, but you can only load seven) take the cake in my book.

*I do think it would be amusing to have a magazine capacity law that said your magazine had to be able to hold 30 or fewer rounds... Or it had to hold 150 or more rounds. The unhinged spree shooters would buy the cumbersome and ridiculous contraptions in their delusions of grandeur which would inevitably jam and/or break, saving lives, and the rest of us could just use the magazines our firearms were designed to work with.

Why are people mad even at the thought OP may want to bring in off rosters into CA? Until the Roster is defeated, LEO's bringing in off rosters will be one of crucial supply lines into CA. So what if they profit? It's not them that created the situation we're in, it's the politicians.

Oh, many FFL's with high cap permits can block 11+ capacity magazines at the time of PPT at no cost or at the buyer's cost, so don't let that stop you. Or you can do it easily. Many companies outside of CA will accept shipment of 11+rd magazines and block them to 10, in case the buyer needs more.

Sorry but not agreeing. From the start of the thread OP's comments seem to portray him as feeling special. The roster was meant to protect us all from all these "Unsafe" (sarcasm) weapons. So if the public needs to be saved from them why let LE purchase and carry such an unsafe thing around all of us commoners.
