Why all the glock hate? Why can't glock haters give credit when credit is due? I have yet to see a torture test perform on a HK/Sig like chuck taylor did to a G17. How about the FBI test on the glock! How do u know the barrel is better in an HK or that the polymer in an HK is superior? Did u lab test and document the results? Facts are facts and you cant argue Chucks torture test. But at the end of the day, haters are gonna hate! Back to the subject though......I'd go with the Sig!

I agree. The only cars made out of plastic are toys. Wait a minute . . . on second thought, maybe the car analogy works after all.

I like to compare sports cars performance and looks! The corvette(glock) gets the job done for cheaper! But not as refined or good looking as the Ferrari's (Sig) and Lambos (HK)

Looks like the title is now Sig vs. CZ and I'd choose CZ. For the same amount of money, a lightly modded SP-01 or P-01 is what I would choose. I have shot a few sigs, but I can't justify the initial price point and the egro's didn't fit me. Maybe they fit you? That's all that matters!

My requirements are indestructible, 9mm double stack, and preferably metal frame. With around 1k to spend I have my choices narrowed down to a Sig or HK but from what I ve read they are similar when it comes to what I want. Thoughts?

Edit: I ve realized that HK isnt really in my search criteria, and am set on a metal frame but not completely sold on Sig. Is CZ even in the same league as Sig? are there any other metal frame guns that are?
I have a lot of nice Sigs. P228, 226, every Scorpion, couple of 1911's and an X6.
But I compete with CZ's. Accurate, uber reliable. Get an SP 01. generally cost less as well which may be factor if you plan on abusing it.

Glocks are not a part of this thread, the title clearly states Sig VS CZ, Glocks are not mentioned in the title and are therefore not welcomed in this particular discussion.

Either gun you get will be a good choice, but, the trigger on the Sig will be better right out of the box.

Sig SP2022 is a superior weapon when compared to any Glock and could also be considered a good choice.

You think a Glock is a corvette?! That's hilarious. They're Accords or Camrys. Everyone owns one and they're simple and utilitarian.

[QUOTE=twitch57;15976343] Is CZ even in the same league as Sig? QUOTE]

I have owned both CZ and Sig...

                        I still have the CZ

Having said that, I'm not saying Sigs aren't great weapons. I liked mine, it shot well and never had so much as a hiccup. It was my nightstand gun for a while so I trusted my life to it.

                        I may get another someday.

My SP-01 is the most intuitive, naturally pointing and ergonomically correct weapon I own, and it makes me look like a better shooter than I am. It feels like they made it from a mold of my hand. It is now my nightstand gun and I trust my life to it.

                        I will get more CZ's.

So my answer is yes, CZ's are absolutely in the same league as Sig's.

I sold my Sig P226 for my 1st CZ 2 years ago. I'm up to 3 CZs and can't stop looking for more.

You can get a single action only cz for under 600 dollars. They are in the same league and the cz frame is a lot more hand shaped.

I think they closely resemble a '72 Plymouth Fury III Station Wagon.

For the price of a sig or slightly more you can own a tuned cz that is so much better. Anyone that has shot one of my 9 cgw tuned p01s has send theirs in to get the work done.

Sigs are ok guns but imo nothing special.

I picked the p01 over the ppq, vp9, g19, and p320 but would pick any of the striker fired pistols over a metal framed sig
