The smaller, lighter slide, helps keep the bore axis low and is probably responsible for the CZ's accuracy and low felt recoil.
At the range, I do slingshot them for my non-modified CZs. It definitely is easier using palm over rear slide method with my CGW modified CZs but it's a different story when I practice drawing from a holster. Just don't want to develop bad habit.

Nothing like the twang of a glock trigger...said no one ever.

Glocks work, and are expendable enough that if its seized and scrapped no worries are spared.Just buy another one and keep rolling.
You have a point, but the same could be said for cars. With So cal traffic, sooner or later someone is going to run into you, so get a a hyundai? Some folks like the finer things in life. Do they run the risk of their $100K car getting totalled, sure, but nice things are fun to own.

Hi-Point is a lot cheaper than Glock and it is still get the job done.

I feel the same way about my P229. It is just a pleasure to shoot and I have never been more accurate with any other handgun.

Considering that I often hear about complaints of the difficulty of racking while using that method, I prefer not to use the palm over slide method when I shoot my CZ's.

Seriously though, if you are running an 11 lb recoil spring and are complaining that the slide is to difficult to rack, then it sounds like some manning up needs to be done.

Amen to that!!! I have a Cold War vintage west german 228. There has never been a finer 9mm ever made. Period. As much as I'm a 1911 fan, the 228 is my SHTF gun. Period.

I also have a recent non-Kali version 226. It rivals the 228. But for sentimental reasons it's still second to its little brother!! However it's also as nice a 9mm as ever been made. I've shot plenty of other 9'a and nothing works for me like those two.

As for OP, buy sig. Don't think about it, don't debate. Just do it. There's nothing wrong with glocks, they work, they're plenty durable, and whatever. You'll be well served with one for sure. But it isn't a sig. So buy a sig.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

For me it's an easy choice. CZ!! Just bought 2, was gonna sell one. After shooting the CZ today, I will probably keep both and look for more. My old W.G Sig p229 is a nice gun but never made we want to buy another Sig. Nice gun, but just not a fan.

Worst first DA trigger pull on earth! Massively heavy and long. On a duty size gun, that's not a plus in my book. I can see it on a pocket pistol. Even then I'd rather it were lighter and shorter than the Beretta 92.
oh i wont. the one uncle sam had me using has given me an undying hatred for all things Beretta.

I agree with several of the other guys: if it's a truck gun you want or need, the SIG 2022 is your gun. The frame is polymer, but it meets your other criteria (double-stack, 9mm.) It's my opinion that the 2022 is the best value in a handgun under $500, Glocks included. It is essentially a polymer framed 226. For $1000, you could buy 2 of them + some ammo. I love SIGs & am biased, obviously. Personally, I would not buy a new 226 to throw around in my truck & beat up. That application is what polymer framed pistols are for. I do not like Glocks, but I would sooner get a G19 for a beater truck gun than a 226. Those are far too expensive & far too nice to do that with
