While this thread is interesting... it seems like it has a lot of personal details.

As it should. It was a personal account of my experience.

I wrote email to my interview officer to disclose stuff I didn't remember during interview and he said yes it's okay to share anything you might have not remember at the time so I came clean with everything I can remember

I feel you op, I had something similar.

In 1998 got caught with a loaded firearm in my car. It was my dad's and I was a dumb kid.

was pulled over by Beverly Hills PD for looking suspicious at night.

I was frisked and then they went through the car and found a 380, loaded. Asked who's it was and i said "MINE".

                  Got charged with:
                  -Loaded gun (12031(A)(1))
                  -CCW (12025(A)(1))
                  -211 (PC)

Judge at the time was VERY lenient and said only probation for 2 years BUT if I got as much as a parking ticket I would go in.

Fast forward to a year ago. Applied to FFL03 and COE.

My COE was issues without a problem!!!

My FFL03 was initially rejected due to my background check. Specifically the FBI/NCIC forwarded a criminal record with NO disposition. Called ATF and spoke to a really nice lady from ATF called and said "what was your disposition honey?". I had NO idea what she was talking about. She suggested I go to BHPD and CA AG offices and get all pertinent paperwork.

Without knowing anything, I went to BHPD and asked for any paperwork and the kind lady from BHPD says "criminal record request?" and I say "yes thats it!"

Get that and a few other certified copies and pay a fee.

Then I figure out I need to go to Los Angeles Attorney General's office.

Got a few certified copies of my court proceedings.

After that, supplied all pertinent copies to ATF and a few weeks later got my FFL03.

CCW and loaded weapon charge stuck. 211 there was NO disposition filing.

Now, for my CCW interview, I went with certified copies of all the above documents and gave it to them, totally told them in my application and my interview and they were like "okayyyyy" lol.

Also, every county does it differently. My friend in San Mateo county did not have an oral interview or a psych eval when obtaining their CCW. San Mateo Co and Ala Co are only separated by a bridge.
Which explains why we need "subjective" determinations as to CCW suitability made unconstitutional.

The burden of proof should be on the government (like it usually is), not on the citizen.

They make the applicant do all the work of clearing this up when it would be much easier for the agency to do it? Remind me what the fees paid by the applicant are for. What is this, Wal Mart self checkout?
