Finally received my Authorization to Proceed for Training today from the Solano County Sheriff. Here's my numbers:

CCW In Person Interview Scheduled for 9-9-2021
CCW Phone Interview Instead on 9-7-2021
Live Scan Done on 9-9-2021
Authorization to Proceed for CCW Training 12-8-2021

Application Start Date to Today's Date (8-9-2021 --> 12-8-2021) = 121 Days

Number of Days from Live Scan Date to Authorization to Proceed for Training (9-9-2021 --> 12-8-2021) = 90 Days

Next Milestone is to schedule training, pass training and wait for my training credentials to be approved.

Training Completed (Passed) with Dobbs on 12-22-2021. Was informed that all documentation will be uploaded to the Sheriff's office after I have electronically signed my paper work.

Solano County CCW Approval Confirmed

Just received my email notification today that I can pickup my CCW permit.

Application Start Date: 8-9-2021
CCW Approval Date: 01-12-2022

Total number of days = 156 (5 Months & 4 Days)

I will pick up my permit this Saturday (1-15-2022). If time permitted, I could have picked it up today.

I've lived in Sacramento County for almost 23 years and have had my CCW there since right after they changed the policy to issue more of them.

I'm going to be moving to Solano County. Does anyone know if essentially being "on the radar" (automatically reported to my issuing authority, already being livescanned, etc.) helps with the process at all?

I know this will be a "new" license as far as Solano CSO is concerned.

I am also permanently disabled - running isn't an option. Will self defense be sufficient on its own in this County? From this thread it looks like it but you never know....

Does anyone know what the turn-around times are on renewals? The website says 60 days but I thought I saw somewhere that they are taking longer due to cv19
