    Solano County Sheriff Primary

    Can someone provide a link to the position statements from both the sheriff candidates on Concealed Carry in Solano County? I'd like to make an informed decision.

        I just got off the phone with Mr. Snedeker who is running for the Solano County Sheriff and he shared that the most common question that he has been getting in the field is his position on Concealed Carry Weapon permits and he will be adding a statement to his website on this issue in the next few days.

        He shared that if elected he will be hiring more people in the Sheriff's office to manage the CCW process and will also be implementing a new hard plastic CCW ID card with a barcode and photo. Mr. Snedeker's goal is to make this process more efficient and effective.

                        It can take 6-9 months for first time and as long as 12 months.

                        Looks like renewals are taking close to 3 months.

                            Permit Modification

                            Has anyone on here ever done a permit modification, and if so, how long did it take? I summited mine and paid the fees on 5/02. Been over 3 weeks now. I uploaded all the docs and I haven't heard or seen anything yet.

                                                            I had the same concern. Took http://www.brcarms.com/ seminar on CCW, they helped everyone come up with their good cause statement.
