I think back when I got mine, they were doing appts for drop offs on tuesdays and was trying to do them two days a week to catch up. Appts for pick ups on thursdays.

That would explain why they are booked so far out. If they are only accepting them one day a week I imagine it backs up fast.

They are basically a one man (woman) show. My guess is the Detective that does the "interview" is only allotted one day a week to accept apps. The more people that turn in apps the further out they book. I can only imagine the workload that Kellie has if they are that far booked.

When I was trying to figure out a date with Kellie she gave me the option of everyday of the week except Thursdays, so it looks like every day of the week they are doing something with CCW's. Also I don't know if the four days a week thing is just temporary due to the high interest/ backlog.

So I was thinking that a three month wait was long and ridiculous until I saw that Riverside County is so backed up that the next available appointment is in June 2017. 18months!!! Crazy.

My friend just made his last week and got the same, end of march

When I was there doing mine in May, the guy told me they are trying to add days and people to keep up, now that the demand is even higher, I know they have to be very backed up. They told me once I picked mine up to plan on 6 months for renewel

After reading some post on other counties in this and other forums, we have it pretty damn good in our county. Some others have to have psych evals and home visits and investigators visit and talk to neighbors. I wouldnt worry about any of those but it certainly would add to the overall time
