I live in Solano County and I am filling out my application. I am wondering if there is anyone that has successfully applied and received there CCW is willing to share what they put for there good cause statement. I saw that Solano County does not just accept "for self defense".

I also was wondering if anyone knows if the petitioned good cause statements for each county are still available and if so where I could find them.

I took the course he talked about too. Well worth it to know that my good cause statement would fly, Once you email it to him, he will make needed changes to make it fly through better. Worked for me.

Yes, Solano County allows for both a husband and wife to have the same firearm on their permits. The firearm must be registered to one of them.

8/22 training complete
9/4 proceed to training letter received

I see that you did your training before you got the "Proceed to training letter", is that normal or do most people wait until after? I've also seen other do the same as you.

At that time live scan return times were pretty consistent. I took the risk and did that class. I knew my background was clean and that live scan results were around 2.5-3 months.

As far as training I took Dave Adams classes and could not be happier. I just had a co-worker take the Dobbs class and someone from that class didn't agree with a comment of comments he (coworker) made during the class and made an anonymous call to the Sheriffs office that caused him to be denied after paying all the fees. Thats a pretty spineless thing to do.

Wow that is crazy, I had planned on taking Dave's class anyways thank you for the info. Did you have to wait a long time to turn in your application? I made an appointment to turn my app in last week and the next available is in late March. Looks like this wait will be one of the longest, compared to some of the recent applicants I've seen on here.

She called me back within two hours of leaving a message, also she responds pretty quick to emails as well. (however she will not schedule an appointment via email)

I think back when I got mine, they were doing appts for drop offs on tuesdays and was trying to do them two days a week to catch up. Appts for pick ups on thursdays.
