Any new updates or issuance of licenses? Seems like the process has slowed down if not stopped all together. When there is no room in Hell, the dead will walk the earth.Comment

CCW process
Hello my fellow armed citizens. Couple of quick up-dates.
1. Yes Solano is going electronic with the application process. I have not heard when they will turn the switch on but I believe it will be this year.
2. Live-Scan results, I'm gonna give you the answer you don't want. With the holiday season, Kelly taking a new assignment the processing of applications is taking a little longer. Right now 5 months is more the norm than the exception. Don't get concerned over how long the process is taking. Deputy Pinder is working on processing applications as fast as one man can. I noticed a big increase in renewals this month, so that will also effect how long the process is taking.
3. Denial letters, yes they happen but not often. Right now I know of just a couple who seem to have mistake of record information on their live-scan. My recommendation is when this happens get you own copy of your live-scan. Then when you see the LEA that has listed incorrect data contact that agency and get them to correct your live-scan data. A simple letter from that LEA stating as much will also assist Dep. Pinder during the readdress phase of the denial.

I guess I should stop reading right here since, thanks to Sheriff Ahern's policy, I don't have GC....
I just hope they keep a backup system/process in place when the inevitable "teething problems" arise.
Now, if you could just get the Solano sheriff to get Napa and Sonoma Co sheriffs to liberalize issuance.... (CoCoCo is probably "a bridge too far.")
About a month ago, IIRC, a CCWer in FL saved a LEO's life and last week in AZ another CCWer saved another LEO's life (http://www.abc15.com/news/region-pho...-10-in-tonopah).
(See the link in my sig line for those and other examples of CCWs saving lives.) Maybe that will help them "see the light."
All of your sound advice is, I'm sure, appreciated by Solano Co CGNers. If you have any other questions please email me direct or call. My contact information is listed on my web site. www.brcarms.com

I have my interview early next month and I just realized that my CAID has my parents address, where all my firearms and mail is registered to. I live in an apartment and didnt want to continually change my address on my ID along with everything else.
For proof of residency for my interview, i plan to bring two forms that show my CAID address. Should i bring two that show my address at my apartment or just completely forget about those?
I dont want to get in there and not match and then get denied over something so stupid.Comment

Check your emails and don't forget your spam folder. Tripler the Christmas and New Year holiday may have gotten things fouled up for a bit.Last edited by 97F1504RAD; 01-25-2017, 6:15 PM.Comment
