I am a bit overwhelmed. I am:
Owner of a small retail store
Home Owner
Married
Two children
Last month there was a vehicle that followed me home from my retail store. At first I thought it was one of my employees but after I parked and the car past me slowly and continued on its way. Maybe I am being a little paranoid but I would now like to have a CCW.

How do I apply for the permit? Honestly what are my chances?

Actually, you can get a CCW. It's not impossible. Make a contribution to her campaign. Make sure there's a least 5 digits before the period and you're golden.

Do you regularly make large deposits of cash for your business (and can prove such w/bank records)? Do you regularly carry very valuable items because of your business? If "yes" to either one of those, you may have a chance.

Like most anti sheriffs, Smith believes in giving you a CCW to protect property, but not your (or your family's) life -- even though it is illegal to use deadly force just to stop the theft of property....

As stated before, zero chance in Santa Clara County until we get a decision on the Peruta case in appeals court.

I applied with in 1 week of the initial peruta announcement. I have my app way in the front of the line. Not a single call, mail, email, etc since i dropped it off in person ages ago. Don't hold your breath cause you'll pass out. Im just waiting till my kids get into school, high school, college, get a job, move out, have some kids. Then maybe when I'm a grandpa, I'll get to ccw in my own state I live in. Just saying. Don't get your hopes up.

As did I. February 2014, nearly two years ago, to be exact. I can assure you our applications have been long since ****canned by you know who. Justice delayed is justice denied. I honestly do not think we will ever see CCW for regular people in Santa Clara County.

I am more optimistic. It might take a couple more years, but if things go our way in the supreme court (which they absolutely should), we will finally be granted our 2nd amendment rights. And hey, it should be just in time to vote a certain sheriff out of office. In the meantime, I'm glad I'm finishing up school in Montana. It would be nice to come back to my home state knowing I can actually be granted a CCW
