I'm like a kid at Christmas! I've been approved to do training, have it scheduled/booked for the weekend of 11/7&8 and expect to turn in certificate the following Tuesday, and none of this can happen fast enough!

JoshB , you have an update?
I sent my BI the letter provided by my company on their weapons policy (read: no weapons policy) on Wednesday, and he confirmed receipt today and sent it up the chain. He says that I should expect to hear back within 2-3 weeks. I hope it's less.
    Will advise upon further contact.

When I got my NV CCW in 2006 from Clark County it took 5 weeks. When I got my WA CCW from Seattle PD in 2010 it took 2 weeks. I'll be applying for the AZ soon. It's nice to hear it happens quickly.

Is the waiting period the same for a renewal or first time application?

In addition to all the replies here, if you have a new gun (less than two months old), be sure to bring your DROS paperwork as it may still not show up in the DOJ database. A friend who I came with had this happen to him, luckily he still had his receipt in his wallet which showed his name, the gun model and serial number. Otherwise, he would need to return to add that new pistol in, which will cost another trip and $10.

Someone I know who has their permit said that the ones listed aren't all that important since they will type up the permit with the weapons you qualified, although I believe they will do a quick check to make sure the weapons are actually in your name.
That's great info 31smc7 I'm glad it's something simple and not to difficult. Thank you again
