The main thing that the Investigator is concerned about is if anything has changed with your address, employment, or background / LE contact since you have applied. There is a list of 8 things that the Sheriff's Office require you to notify them on and and obtaining an out of State CCW isn't one of them.
3 things to note:
1). At the time you signed and submitted your application, the information you rendered was True and Accurate to the best of your knowledge.
2). When the BI calls, he/she will ask specific questions of note from your application and background report.
3). The Investigators are very professional and you can ask the question and/or volunteer the information based on your comfort level.
The way I see it is, 1) it isn't a required disclosure after the CCW has been issued, 2) they will know about it when you apply for renewal, and 3) it isn't a negative item.
I have a colleague from Sac County that got his NV CCW before his Sac CCW and he didn't remember about even asking about it from excitement. He still got his approval.

Quick question for anyone that might be able to answer. I recently was approved (received it today) for my AZ CCW. On the CCW app, it asks if I have any other permits. I put no since I didn't have it at the time of applying.
If/When the investigator calls, is this something that I should tell him? Or keep it hush since it's not a CA permit? I'm assuming the question is only in regards to any permits issued in CA?Leave a comment:

It'll be worth the wait if you get approved. Turned mine in in August 2015 so I still have awhile to wait...Leave a comment:

Start the clock. Application submitted and fingerprints rolled. The guy said mine would be easy and if he picked up my folder, mine would be one that he could knock out in 2-3 hours.... In ten months when he gets down to Feb 2016 folders.
Also, there were two ladies ahead of me today. Nice to see women are jumping on board with the CCWs.Leave a comment:

Drop off forms, pay the fees, short interview to verify form accuracy, then livescan. That's what I did 12/28. I almost didn't bring some of the extra paperwork, the part that explains how to fill it out. They wanted that as well. Bring everything and then some.Leave a comment:

Disclose EVERYTHING! Disclose it even if there was no conviction because it will still be on your record. TELL THE TRUTH!!! If you don't they will know. Get yourself your own scan of your record so you don't leave anything out on your application. I did that and my arrests from the 1970s were there. That scan helped me a lot knowing what was there.Leave a comment:

If he has a misdemeanor, there was likely an arrest. If I'm not mistaken, the DOJ application asks about any arrests in the past.I have a friend that is inquiring about a ccw for the Stanislaus county he has a misdemeanor that was about 18 years ago should he disclose the misdemeanor or should he not disclose please let me know if anyone has the info thank you again

I've got a colleague from Sacramento that thought he disclosed everything but the BI found a documented LE contact in Sonora from almost 25 years ago. He was initially denied for non- disclosure but was told he could re-apply after a year. He did apply and included the additional info and he got approved in December.Leave a comment:
