I have CCW Safe. $100 Couple friends do also. I also have and had previously an umbrella policy from my regular insurance company.
Hi, I was wondering if any of you cc's have insurance or an attorney ready at hand if you ever have to use your weapon? I just applied a couple months back, but after applying I really took this into perspective of the legal part of using mine... I've heard there are companies that offer this service. .... yes your attacker may be 6' under but his family attorney and the county/state prosecutors want to charge you with 1st degree murder! What will you do in this situation?
BTW... first time poster new to CG
Oh also... I heard this type of service cost about $150.00 a yearLeave a comment:

Does anyone know if personal finances are a part of the equation regarding good moral character? If one's credit score is okay, but not excellent, does it make a difference?Leave a comment:

Well, called the SO this morning to start the process. First appointment was 12-28. I know it's a long haul but "the longest journey begins with the first step".Leave a comment:

I have a Glock 21 (.45 ACP) with a conversion barrel to 10mm. I have it listed in both calibers under one gun. You do have to qualify with both barrels though.Leave a comment:

I guess that all depends on how you choose to interpret my statement. I know that there is a lot of FUD regarding AR and AK pistols out there, so I understand if it's easy to assume someone would wet themselves at the mere thought. Admittedly, if I were to find myself in a situation where I had to defend myself against an assailant with one of these weapons, using what I carry everyday -- as I do have a CCW -- I would definitely attempt to put as much hardened material between myself and the subject before returning fire.
That said, my statement was to convey my disbelief that any card-carrying CLEO within the state of California would ever approve CCW for a AR/AK pistol. First off, it's a concealed weapon permit, an short of a duffel-bag, trench coat, or in-car, there are decidedly few concealment options for something like that. Second, even in a shall-issue type county, especially one that required permitting by weapon type and SN, I am sure that a CLEO would think long and hard about putting his or her signature on that, even if not statutorily disallowed. Lastly, the political climate being what it is in CA, especially if that particular weapon were permitted and then used in a SD situation in public, said CLEO probably would be driven out of the state.
IMHO, IANAL, and all that jazz...Leave a comment:

Are you thinking about carrying your AR or AK pistol concealed on your person with an inside the waistband holster (IWB) or with a holster outside the waistband (OWB)? I'm assuming that pocket carry is out.Leave a comment:

Sorry guys I was just curious because I was on websites shoppingyesterday and under their "CA legal" some of them were AR/AK pistols. And I'm trying to put it together in my tiny brain if those can be CCW in CA.
So different counties allow this?Leave a comment:

I think I would have a fricking heart-attack if I ever learned that a CLEO approved an AR/AK pistol for CCW in CA.Leave a comment:
