Takes longer to get a CCW than to make a child!

I had to provide my employers weapons policy when I applied as well. I have since changed jobs, so hopefully that doesn't cause me a problem for renewal which comes up in January. My question was regarding my wife's renewal. She went in yesterday and was told she would need an actual letter from her manager. She hasn't changed jobs since her first go round.

Almost there CeeCee. As long as everything is in order when the investigator gives you a call it's all down hill from there.

They told me 6-8 months at the end of August 2015.... And I'm still waiting ....lol... I knew at the time that I turned in my app to expect a year give or take so no disappointment here, I'm just glad to almost be at the end....

Turned in app. Jan 2016 and was told should hear something in 6-8 months. Called earlier this month and they said they are still working on june 2015 apps. Looks like its still taking a year. I thought they hired 2 full time investigators to speed up the process? Anyone have any updated info on new app wait times?
    Thanks

Great to hear about the renewals. Recently received my ccw and was already worrying about the renewal.

Yes. Re apply is a smooth process. Interviewer said sheriff always approves unless you have had some bad history. They said I could go to training anytime, but I will wait until closer to November date.

No mention of them when I first got my permit two years ago.

I also asked if I should wait until approval to get my training and he said I can get it anytime.

Great info and great news! Shenecke, if you're interested, I just installed one of these Console Vaults in my F150: http://www.consolevault.com/Ford-F15...l#.V3LpgJBHarU
    I love it!
