They told me that they are starting August 2015 app in a week or two.. so stay by the phone.

    Yeah right
They told that to me too, that an investigator would be calling to verify information etc.. They also told me to expect a year for the whole process

I guess I should just be happy they're still issuing.

Yeah, I know they hired 2 full time investigators, but they started 6 months ago and it doesn't seem to have helped with wait times. Maybe the need 2 more until application backlog in cleared. Just frustrated

I was just talking to the sheriffs department to get an update on where I am at. They said they are just now starting to wrap up July 2015 for anyone who started their processes then.

My question in particular is: it sounds, from your previous post, that you changed jobs...was that much of a hassle upon renewal? Anything you had to re-do with them in regards to your new position? I ask because I have changed employers since my initial and am wondering if there's some due diligence to be done now before I submit for renewal. Thanks for any/all insight.
No I did not change jobs but last time the investigator asked me if planned on carrying at work and If I knew the firearms policy. I said that I had never seen it in writing but that it was a pretty safe bet that a school district was not in favor of weapons and that I had no intention of carrying on campus. He said ok and let it drop. This time the investigator made a big deal about it and that the person before should have put a restriction on there. I really do not care either way... it is silly because even unrestricted, under the new laws you can not carry on campus anyway.

The ironic thing is that I can no longer legally carry at work anyway being that I work at a school. I never carried there even when I legally could.
