Okay, I guess that makes some sense, then. It's like you're on a probationary period of sorts. Toe the line and prove yourself! Once you get used to carrying, it's hard to think about giving it up.

Does your permit say that it's "restricted to one year"? Or is your expiration date just one year from the date of issuance? If it was never discussed or mentioned to you, or not listed as a specific restriction, it's possible that it's a clerical error. Have you considered calling them and asking?

Self defense for me and my family. That was pretty much it. Don't fluff it or justify unless you have a specific situation that is causing you to want to apply.

Well hopefully that is not the new standard. I wonder what the guys who just went through renewals received? Hopefully it was the standard 2 years.

Would you mind telling me what you put for your good cause? Can PM me if you don't want to put it out in the open?

Disclose everything, when my investigator called he asked about something I had contact with the Sheriff's Deputy about a boat that belonged to my ex father in law that was deceased! the boat took on water in the delta and the Sheriff's department helped salvage the boat and get it off the water! That was something simple I didn't even remember it happened until he asked! They're like Santa's helper they know when you've been bad or good! Livescan is going to pull everything up whenever you have had contact with a LEO'S and they document it or need to write a report!

    Wow!
