Put in application late December, 2015. Ivan just called to find out if anything has changed in the past year. I should get an email in about a month when I will proceed with taking the class. Encouraging!

It's nice to see people are still getting approvals, even if it takes 14 months. Congrats to mendezbp!

I'm at a month and a half since the investigator call. Hoping to hear something sooner than later, just like the rest of us.

Thanks, I was kind of nervous he wouldn't approve because of the way he questioned me.

Pewpew, those first pages go way back! Like a few years! I read through some but, believe nothing that hear and half of what you read.... lol
At least that's what my old roommate used to tell me!
Let us know how your interview went!

    Applied 11/02/15
Got the call from the investigator on 9/27/16.
Asked me a few questions about things on my record
I asked if it should be an issue, he said no it shouldn't be! (Is this what they say just to keep you wondering? )
Said he needed some paperwork from my job... emailed copies of them.
Said my application is getting sent to the Sheriff's desk for review! Will know in 2-3 weeks if he denies or approves
Hopefully will hear something back this week! Maybe Wednesday, but after seeing some guys went over the year wait I can only be hopeful
If I was to get denied, wouldn't I have already been denied when things come up on livescan, and not a year later? Or do they wait until the final process of taking it to the Sheriff for him to make the decision? And do they send a letter or call you if you get denied? Do they give a reason for a denial?

There is very little relevant in those first two pages other than maybe to see the history of where we have been over the last few years.

Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated. Hoping the process for me goes a bit better than the first few pages of this thread.

Tell the truth. Do not try to hide anything or leave anything out that they may have an issue with ie. someone I talked to was cited over 20 years ago for disturbing the peace or something like that and didn't even think about it so left it off. It came up in his background check and the denied him not because he was cited, but because he did not disclose it and they claimed lack of good moral character. At the same time do not give them anything extra. Be friendly in your interview but don't be overly talkative. Remember you want to protect yourself and your loved ones... never your property or the public.
