They have a 16 hour ccw class, all in 1 day as well.

I took the 1 day 16 hour at best handgun training and thought it was great. Great price, great instructor who also made the class fun. And I preferred to get the class done all in one day. Our instructor never pointed his weapon in an unsafe direction, and told us if we did that we would be dismissed.

    Fidel,
You can try to discredit me all you want.
I spent my money to have you instruct me as well as 4 of my friends that were also in the class.

Assumptions...... we all know where those lead....
You didn't fail me or have a opportunity to fail me as I didn't take my CCW class through you, it was a basic handgun class. I actually have some form of class completion paper work in my files from your class.
I've taken plenty of instruction from other instructors prior to your class as well as plenty of instruction from other instructors after your class.

You are 100% correct that you have your blue gun, but the gun you swept the class with numerous times was black, not blue, not red. I as well as my 4 friends saw it numerous times. Not good!

In the beginning of the class, you felt it necessary to tell me that my gun was wrong for me and bad mouth it to no end without even so much as seeing how I shoot it.
I have never had another instructor do that.
I can shoot my gun just fine, passed my CCW with it easily.
    Another deal breaker.

You told a story in class where you came home and went to bed. You heard a noise in your back yard and reached for your gun on your nightstand only to realize you left it downstairs in your rubbermaid tub, and you had to go downstairs and fumble in the dark to load a magazine.
Sorry, in looking for a competent instructor that is safe, I expect for that person to have better protocol than myself. To tell a story to the class where you don't properly make sure your weapon is in its appropriate place in case of emergency was the icing on the cake for me and my four friends.

You are/were in business. As such there is criticism, the person above stated they had a good experience with you. I chose to express my opinion. Take it for what it is, learn from it or get out of the business if you can't handle it.
I have run my business successfully for over 25yrs.

As stated above, I have taken instruction from numerous instructors, as the first instructor I ever had said to always try someone new, you may learn something new.
Over the years, I have gotten to a point where I have a few instructors that I trust.

I have given my opinion, like it or not, it is what it is.
I am done responding to this topic!

Felt unsafe, swept the class numerous times with his weapon. Albeit unloaded, you treat every weapon as if it is loaded, as well as watch muzzle control.
    Numerous other issues......

I heard he is moving or working elsewhere (another area of the state) which is fine by me.......
    Kokanee,
This is Fidel Taylor. Several former students messaged me about your comment saying you are full of it.
One way I know you are, I do not carry a real gun with me in class!. I use my blue gun at ALL TIMES!. I am a fanatic about safety! Nice try guy, not sure what your agenda is under your alias name! Maybe we failed you for safety violations.......as we do actually fail students in practically every class.

Thanks guys! If it doesn't already exist, we should start a thread for CCW classes where we can put where we went, and a review of how we liked it.

Valley Defense Consulting. Worth the training even if you don't get a CCW.
