You got that right!!!!
You've been carrying for years.
Because of the sheriffs dept dropping the ball, you "can't" carry for 3 months while waiting on them?
If they are going to be this screwed up for renewals they should at least give automatic extensions.
Not carry in these times....... Absurd!!!Leave a comment:

That's ****ing ridiculous.I received my renewal approval, the total wait time was 165 days. My background is squeaky clean and I had taken the renewal class prior to applying for renewal so the 165 days was all spent waiting on the Sheriff's office. It took about 9 weeks to get the approval call after my phone interview.
If they are going in order by date, I'm guessing that they have another week or so before they complete the January renewals. At this point I'm guessing that no February renewals have been approved yet.
My previous renewal under Sheriff Moore took 10 days from filing to pick-up.Leave a comment:

I applied today on Permitium website. The CCW appointment I got is for second week of Dec 2020. Is this appointment for Live scan or something else?

Wow, so new applicants are taking about as long as renewals. Crazy.
Congratulations on the approval. The wait is frustrating but it's good to see the sheriff is still approving new applicants.Leave a comment:

Applied Jan 15th, new applicant, approved today. Didn’t receive a call to take the class, was told to wait until approval.Leave a comment:

I applied for my third time renewal January 16, 2020, I finally received a phone call from the interviewer the first week of May. As of this evening (7/3/20) I still have not received my approved CCW. Six months is far to long to wait. Hopefully Sheriff Withrow can get the backlog off his desk.
Has anyone else been delayed so long?Leave a comment:

Submitted renewal on 3/24 and just got call for phone interview. Said everything looks good and will give to Sheriff but to expect another 3-6 week wait.Leave a comment:

Renewal I assume? I've called every other week since I got my phone interview a few months ago and gotten the explanation that "it's been sent up to the Sheriffs desk for signature." I submitted my renewal at the end of January, so according to your timeline, I have a bit more waiting to do.
When I first applied over 6yrs ago, it took 364 days before I got the approval call. This feeling is very familiar. I wish they would have officially extended all permits issued and worked the logistics to do so.
Initial.
What's your full timeline? It took probably 2-3 months before I got the call that I could attend the class.Leave a comment:

Applied back in December and I called to schedule an appointment to pick up the permit.
Looks like they're scheduling appointments for Tuesday and Thursday.
Total: 171 days to pick up.Leave a comment:

Yeah they do not know what they are talking about. I do know that San Francisco has some odd gun restrictions like I believe hollow points are banned there. They may have passed something else but I do not believe they have the ability to ban the use of this state licence any more than they do another state licence for example, a drivers licence. I really have not kept up on San Fransicko's city ordinances because I avoid the the area if at all possible.Leave a comment:
