Ok that's good to know. I must've missed it or it's something they give you when approved, but where is this list that you mentioned?

It's a form you acknowledge upon picking up your permit. I will try to attach a pic of it.

Wife and I submitted our docs today. Very professional department we did our interview and live scan both of us out in about an hour and a half. Kinda cool we did our interview at the same time.

Wife was more concerned about the photo they take I guess she would have done her hair different.

If that's the case, she's probably not going to like to know that the picture they took will end up on the permit when issued.

Any updates on new issued permits? I'll be coming up on 1 year waiting in March! Still no call good or otherwise.

Funny, I was actually going to post that very question yesterday but didn't get around to it.

I did receive a phone call from a BI stating she will be handling my application, sometime last week. They needed a couple documents to include in my packet before she forwards it to the Sheriff. I sent off requested documents and any changes I needed done to any part of my app; mainly I wanted to add some new firearms.

Hopefully I get a phone call and not a letter in the coming weeks.

Has anyone here changed the guns listed on their permit prior to renewal? If so, what was involved in the process and how did it go?

You can call the PSD or your BI for this info. Basically, the weapons you list on your application are in no way set in stone. What really counts is, when picking up your permit, provided you are approved is a) what weapons appear on your training certificate, and b) whether those weapons are registered appropriately. As long as the weapon appears on your training certificate, identified by make, model, caliber and serial number, matches up with information provided by CA DoJ and the weapon is appropriately registered to you, it can go on your permit.
The main benefit of having the weapons you want on your permit listed on the application is that if there is any problem in DoJ records, your BI will let you know beforehand. I ran into this specifically, and it saved me a lot of aggravation were I to have found out day-of.
I hope this sheds some light on your question.

Of all the days to receive the call, I get it on my bday!! Woohoo!!

                        My timeline:

                        March 02, 2015 - Call for Appt
                        March 16, 2015 - Interview Day
March 27, 2015 - En Banc of Peruta Case
                        February 18, 2016 - BI Contact/Phone Call
                        March 10, 2016 - CCW Approved

6 days short of 1 year from interview date!

I plan on getting CCW Safe; is there something else I should be looking into?

My question was about changing the guns you have listed on the permit, not changing the guns that were listed on the application.

Next week will have been a year since my application submittal. I just got the call today that I'm approved! Yay! Next up, training.

You're going t have to qualify with the weapon you want to add on your permit. When you get your certificate for the training and qualification, you will need to call PSD to setup and appointment to go in and modify your permit. Charge for the change/update is $10.
