When was your interview? From what I understand, they are currently processing applications from interviews held in September of 2014.

Has anyone heard about 2-3 hour ccw classes? I won't mention any places by name but I got word that it has been done and permit issued. Is the 16 hour mandatory? Up to 16 hours?

Conradulations seems to be a little faster some were approaching the 1 year mark, let's hope it's gets faster still, especially with renewals coming up soon. Fortunately I will be moving out of state before my renewal

Picked up my CCW yesterday. Tuesday Sept. 1. Took a while but other than time it went very smooth.
She had quite a stack of approved folders sitting behind the front counter waiting for people to come and get them.

I hope mine is in that stack. I was told 3 weeks ago everything looked good and it's on the boss's desk. Haven't gotten a call or email yet.

Got the call - get this - while on the toilet yesterday. It's the only number I get that says "Unknown Caller", so I knew to answer it. Lady said everything finally good to go and that I could pick it up on Tuesday's or Wednesday's only.
I also received an email later in the day with confirmation of approval and info about picking it up, including cost.

Here's the kicker. I went to purchase a new gun (SA MC Operator) and a new magazine at Outdoor Sportsman this late afternoon. Standing in line in front of me is a man purchasing shotgun shells. It's Sheriff Moore. I told him he just approved my CCW yesterday and thanked him. He shook my hand and said he believed in our right to carry and that he just wanted to follow the laws guiding it. It was almost as if he was trying to explain the long wait, even though I didn't say anything about that. He then showed me his purchase and said a friend invited him to do some shooting tomorrow.

Interesting end to it all. Thankful.
