I emailed my investigator early this morning. I received a reply that my permit has been approved! I'm going in tomorrow afternoon. Its been a long wait, but I am happy to have finally reached the end.

    Interview April 16th
    Various contacts since mid September.
    Approved January 12th.

    Patience pays off...eventually.

The problem is no one is telling me why is it taking that long. Just will hear back soon .. and soon translate to long time. . At least in your case you got your wife protection . . I do regret that I did not ask my wife to apply at the same time I did. if she applies now it's going to take forever

They must be swamped. 9 months may be a bit optimistic at this point.
i know how you feel. I'm in the same situation in a way .. interview on 4/23/14 . was told my paper with sheriff for final approval on 11/24/14. many people in mid May are getting approved yet nothing is changing..

can we get people count on this forum that are from April with no approval yet ..

I interviewed in early May and have had contact from the SJSO, but I don't expect permit in hand or a denial letter (whichever the end result is) until Febuary at the earliest. 9 months, just like having a baby. Perhaps that says something... Lol

I'm now in month 2 of the process. I guess I should expect a long wait still. CCW approval would make a nice Fathers Day gift I suppose....

Check the previous thread as people had face to face interview with sheriff and were told personally that he want my approving.

Haha no warrent I know that. I am confident they just want to clear something up. I don't see why they would take them time to deny me when they could just mail a letter

I doubt they are going to deny him. They more than likely want to see him in person to clear up details in his past. A denial via letter is S.O.P. for them. Yes, he may be on the bubble but if he meets with them and makes a good impression, he will have a chance. Or....maybe he has a warrant he don't know about.
