What CCW class do people recommend? I'm not sure how often their held.
There is a list of approved classes in the application package.
Most companies have a website with cost and a calendar of classes.

I chose California security training in sac. Good price, Good instructor (Ian). would recommend them.

I got another email asking if I could send a copy of the policy stating that I can not carry at work. Found one and sent it off

Really? You needed to prove to them that you couldn't carry at work?

You would think that if you told them "no, I can't carry at work" they (SJSO) would just put that restriction on your license???

          Whatever...

Personally, I think going so far as to make it a permit restriction is too far. Your employer has the right to restrict weapons at work. As much as that alone irks me, That's the Law. But to arbitrarily escalate violating company policy from administrative (you'll get your *** fired if they find out) to criminal (you'll, at minimum, get your license revoked, if not arrested) screams "Nanny-state" to me...which is not at all surprising, unfortunately...

I an unable to carry at work and put that in the application along with a letter stating that from my boss with his card.

I had filled bankruptcy in early 2013, I provided the cacase number in the applocation. They asked if it ad been filed and if it was completed as well.

Here is hoping it goes quickly

What was the email address from? @....? Not the investigators name, just the provider if you would be so kind. My email is pretty locked down and it will likely go to my spam folder and if I knew the provider it would be easier to seach.

Glad to hear you have contact though. We interviewed the same day...

I think they could approve or deny much sooner if they stopped being so litigation adverse. If you say that your job doesn't allow carry put the restriction on the card and move on to the next applicant.

Looking at the email my investigator sent me, it will likely come from the domain sjgov.org. The format is first initial and last name of the investigator. If you know your investigator's name, then you can figure this out. For example John Doe, so his email will be jdoe@sjgov.org. Hope this helps.

If the US 1st amendment were treated like the 2nd amendment by US politicians, we will need a license to speak in public, need a background check to buy a book, and can only buy one every 30 days. I received an email from the investigator yesterday 😀. I need to email some paperwork and answer a question. I wasn't asked about workplace weapons policy. This is my first contact since my interview.

Had you ever called them for an update? That seems like a long time to be contacted for the first time.
