My permit has expired. I am still waiting to do my renewal class in Hesperia on Oct. 13, a month after my permit expired. I have already shot the requal. I feel naked now without a handgun.

I actually received a reply from Sarah today (Sunday!) on the email I sent just a few hours ago. She said that I should have gotten an email about the online classes a few weeks ago. I have not received any emails from them, ever, so there is probably a typo or something in the email address they have on file for me. In any event, they will email me the link for the classes.

Be on time. Early is on time. They were super cool, just have everything in order along with your money orders. I was in and out in less than 45 mins. It was pretty relaxed.

Received my CCW in the mail after the initial qualification. Took about 7 business days. Thank you everybody for all your help

Unfortunately, I have not heard back from her yet with the class info. I did ask to verify the email address they have on file as I have not gotten any emails other than the response on Sunday to my email.

Eight calendar days is pushing it a bit. The CCW division doesn't get your range paperwork for a few days then they need to process it. Guns have to be ran too.

Update - I did receive the links to the video renewal classes from Detective Dominick. Since I was originally enrolled in a class in Hesperia, they did not take the money order for the class when I filed my renewal package. I was going ot email the attestation to them and then US mail them the original attestation and the money order for the class, but Sarah said I have to bring them in person to their office. I am not sure why it cannot be mailed, but I will make the 120 mile round trip since that is what is required.

Got my call today for my initial CCW class. Exactly 2 months from my interview date.

Question regarding the class. What should I expect? Other than bring my ID and face covering, that's all the info I got.

After you've been carrying for a little while, you'll remind yourself it was all worth it and then some
I jumped through whatever hoops I had to to get renewed and sweated a bunch of bullets
I ended up getting my new card two days before the old one expired and that was the middle of July of this year
At HQ the day after they reopened, back at HQ to drop off same paperwork as you after I watched the videos
At Prado the day they opened for quals
All worth it

Hard to believe it is 120 miles round trip from Appley Valley to the HQ in San Bernardino.

You were told 9/2 and 9/8 that there were changes to renewals but you insisted you had a class date.
